"I don't know how much I can do about the space man but I can handle a teenager pretty well!" Black Widow says kicking Lightning Lad in a gut before disappearing.
"Man, I got hit by a girl. Cosmic Boy will never let me live that down!".
The Widow and Scarlet Witch stare him down.
"You've got a lesson to learn, boy," Natasha says.
"...And we'll be glad to play teacher," adds Wanda.
Amazo Charges to N16, attacks Black Widow, AV10 on DV17. Gets 4. I don't know why, but I seem utterly incapable of hitting her or Green Goblin.
Let's hope I can prove that statement wrong. Adam Strange Zeta Beams to S20, shoots at Green Goblin. Rolls 7. Okay, I allow myself to be corrected. 3 to Green Goblin. Rolls 1 for the Zeta Beam effect, stays put.
Lightning Lad double targets the Widow and the Goblin, no EE this time, AV8 on DV17 +1 and DV16. Gets 4.

"All power and no skill," the Black Widow said, doing a deadly dance with the Amazo android. The slightest misstep and his mighty fists would have connected with her, beating her to a pulp, but as ever, her moves were flawless and he couldn't touch her.
"He can keep her busy while I deal with the lunatic in the Halloween mask," Adam Strange said, strafing the room with his ray gun. He caught the Green Goblin with a shot. "Bingo!"
Goblin ee on Amazo. Needs 10, groan, rolls 4. I won't pc that.
Widow sidesteps to O17 attacking Amazo w/cce. Needs 7, rolls 7. SS is 2. 3 to Amazo after toughness. Tasha takes 1. She'll probably pay for that but it's cool.

Vizh & Wanda rs to GH17 going for Per D. Needs 7, gets 8. SS is 1. He's out.
Goblin to P18, blocking d.r. of Amazo.
Strange outwits Adam's Ray Gun sp.
Teams in the early 70s were all about the Fantastic Four and Avengers. But I do want to honor that misfit of all misfit non-teams, the Defenders. I did like their stuff quite a bit. Nighthawk and Valkyrie are the best examples in the early days, I'll pick Nighthawk. He'll sit put for now.
Rick births Blazing Skull and tks him to row 10 ,he moves to block Per Deg.

"Wow," Nighthawk says peering into the battlefield, "Looks like a job for the Defenders."
"I do not see a plethora of them around, Nighthawk," the Vision says, "Perhaps an Avenger can do the job." Vision says phasing through the ground and reaching into the chests of Per Degaton and Amazo, turning his fists diamond hard. Both fall instantaneously.
Amazo might have done better if I'd been able to steal some better powers for him. Ah well. Two replacements, huh?
So arguably one of the biggest things that happened to DC in the 60s wasn't the comics at all. It was the Batman TV show phenomenon. And thanks to syndication, for a whole generation, it was probably their first exposure to Batman and his colorful villains, even before that could read. Whether or not that was a good thing for Batman's character who took 20 years and Tim Burton to go back to being a Dark Knight in most people's eyes, you can't deny the influence. So my replacements this turn will be a nod to that.
First the indelible performance of Burgess Meredith as Penguin. Who doesn't still hear his voice whenever the Penguin goes "Waugh!" in the comics? BCTV version of course.
Then, everyone loves to point out how Harley Quinn actually made her debut on the animated 90s Batman before making her way to actual comics, but everyone forgets that another fan favorite did it 30 years before her. Batgirl. Yes there was a Batgirl in the comics before, but it wasn't Barbara Gordon and she was just a sidekick to the original Batwoman. It took the TV show to give us the Babs we've come to know and love. Oddly, there is no figure for her in the BCTV set, but the FFBM seems a pretty good representation.
Adam's Zeta Beam is a 1. He still stays there.
Penguin RS to U22, shoots at Green Goblin, AV10 on DV15. Rolls 12. Way overkill. He's KOd.
Despero TKs Batgirl to Q14
Batgirl on Blazing Skull, AV10 on DV16. Gets 8. He's out too.
Lightning Lad moves to P17 to block Green Goblin's replacement
Shade TKs Lightning Lad from there to U21 where he will act as MM fodder for Penguin
"The sardonic grin, the maniacal laugh, even the garish color scheme. You sir, are an obvious, but inferior, imitation of a certain colleague in crime of mine, and on his behalf, I'm getting rid of you," the Penguin said, zzzzzwapping the Green Goblin with a shot from his umbrella.
"Yikes, me and the Penguin on the same side? Something's definitely not right here," Batgirl noted, "but we'll sort it out after I get rid off the guy in the Halloween mask." With a Biff and a Pow, Batgirl took out Blazing Skull.
Batman in syndication was my first exposure to comics and Penguin was always my favorite. Good choice.
Dr. Strange outwits Adam's esd and begins some Strange on Strange action. Rolls 4, a miss.
Rick tks Nighthawk to K16.
He'll rs to L16 attacking Adam. Makes his av 11, needs 7, gets 7. 3 to him.
Early 1970s Marvel had a few themes. I think these themes reflected popular movies of the time. Martial artists and monsters were huge. Representing those monsters is Ghost Rider, who always looked cool in my book. He moves to H10.
