Dang it - I was hoping to send Iceman a PM about a friend request, but his inbox is full.

All these event-type thingies happening and not a lot of talk. I didn't think we would hit these doldrums until Thanksgiving time.

I find myself wishing that the game didn't deliberately shove Pokemon you haven't encountered yet into places you tend not to go. Not all of us have the time to just go on Pokemon GO walking excursions. My Pokemon GO time tends to be when I'm walking from where I park my car to work and then back again in the evening. Sometimes when I'm walking within the labyrinthine halls of my workplace. But I just don't have the time to do a "Hey, let's go walk around in this new place and look for Pokemon", so it would be nice if the new Pokemon would start showing up in the places I actually can walk around in from day to day.

I finished the Jirachi research.

Stumbled across a Shadow Larvitar the other day. After I purified it, it got 98% IVs. Neat.

That is awesome! You are living the dream now.

So it appears that a shiny Lillipup is a thing. The wife just got one.

So how was everyone's Zigzagoon Community Day? Seriously, that was the lowest density of "increased spawn" Pokemon I've ever seen.

We had a good 30% Trapinch, 30% Lillipup and 30% Barboach. I just wish that I got shinies of Lillipup and Barboach. The wife and I were happy about field research that provided a Trapinch but have been disappointed by the 2k eggs that didn't have Trapinches in them. We still got 7 shinies between us but it took an hour until we caught the first one.

It wasn't a total wash but it was not great either.

Didn't bother much, was only out an hour or so. Got a shiny though and evolved a regular one.

Apparently there are shiny Patrats too. I didn't get it I noticed a friend did.

I am very happy to say that I caught a wild Tepig and Oshawott. The wife is hatching all sorts of new pokemon from her eggs.

I was out and about. I snagged a few and got enough candy to where I could fully evolve one, but while I had some with good AVs I decided I would wait and see what I have in December.

Speaking of Zigzagoon - I don't know if you are paying attention to the upcoming games (Sword & Shield) but supposedly they have a regional variant of Zigzagoon and Linoone that are black and White. It also has a stage 2 evolution called Obstagoon. Guess we will see if those regional variants get the Alolan treatment in Go.
(There has also been confirmation of regional variants of Weezing and Ponyta, and a new evolution for Farfetch'd).

I found a nest locally for Oshawatt and now have a pretty cool looking Samurott in my collection.

I also got some steps in Adventure Synch this morning by going to the people gym, and hatched a 7k egg. Inside was a Shiny Budew! HOORAY! Going to offer my other shiny Roserade to the wife since she's selflessly given me several shiny pokemon in months past (Most recently my VERY wanted Misdreavus)

While science is out the window on my theory I get the most Adventure Synch distance when I am wearing baggier shorts. Additionally the pockets need to have enough room to where the phone can shift a bit.


PS great job getting to a gym it is not easy to do.
