As I understand it, the intention is to put him on a 24-hr schedule. People reported being able to get another for the day after installing the update.

There is not an event reward. It seems like this is a month long event with the holidays where if you complete all 27 you get 200 shards for your 4*. Is it worth it? Let's see. So far they have been pretty easy so half a 4* cover for something I am already doing is nice, not great, just nice.

In general I think D3 is trying to think of ways to reward the players who play a lot and help close the gap on their ever increasing 4* arsenal. Greedy me would like more but I will take it.

I do find this amusing because pokemon go has been doing event rewards for a bit now. The one benefit to D3 is that if you want to complete these events you would need to spend more time in the game. For some of us that would not be true.

I think the quests have invigorated me like almost nothing else (almost nothing - the right 5* or 4* in placement/progress motivates me, too).

I was ignoring PVP so much that I went 2 seasons without the 10-pack, and I love opening mighty tokens. I almost always ignored mid-season PVP and they've got me playing Snowball fight, just to get that quest done (and now that I've played, I'm going to get to at least 900 progression).

Boosts? I virtually never used them. Now I have them in my regular pattern of Deadpool Daily (so that I have built a pattern of turn boosts on for this match, turn boost off for that one -- thus avoiding the forever-boosting problem).

Heck I'm spending 35 gold in the resource center every time that quest is there, and I just throw a few shards onto a 3* that is currently below 3600 shards (and if there isn't one, I can wait a few hours and there will no doubt be one). a few dozen gold to move my 3* farm along? Fine by me. (and avoidable to those that is too rich for)

I love 'em.

The quests are generally ok in my book. Keeping track might become cumbersome in the event ones start getting a bunch.
An external counter might be nice.

The support store rolled.
I had 19 basic and 7 advanced tokens saved up.
I decided to bite and open some basic to see if I would get anything. Wound up with an upgrade of the Sanctum Santorium to 3* after five pulls, so I may just stop with that.

That gives 16% reduction in damage from enemy matches and 53.9% chance to start a match with 5 yellow AP.

Thinking of who could make good use of that, my best thought is Gladiathor.

I currently have 2* Stormbreaker on him. That gives him 334 extra damage to VILLAINS and a 23.12% chance to create 3 red, green, or yellow tiles at the start.

I am debating between them. I am thinking that switching Thor to the Sanctum is the better choice.
I pretty much only use Thor with Okoye, and having a better than 50/50 shot of starting her off with a bunch of yellow is nice. While the tiles have given me some good cascades, that is a less than 25% chance of happening.
Also, I have a 4* Korg on America (my third with Thorkoye), and that has a 57%+ chance of starting with 3 yellow AP.
Together that gives me really good odds of starting with some yellow, and a fairly good chance of starting with enough to fire off Okoye’s yellow immediately.

Thoughts?

I don't have the knowledge store of knowing all of these supports. I just came to say that I got a 1* Stormbreaker (bringer?) So a new support for me.

It would be nice to be able to "save" duplicate supports. After 10 saved supports it would equal a level up. I feel like this would make things easier for D3. It means that you only need 1* supports and 1 token. Prizes would just be 2-3 tokens instead of an advance token. They can have their all supports in 1 store or continue with a rotation.

Then people will have the feeling of success when pulling a duplicate. Plus it would give a good reason to bring back that support PVE.

My 3rd for Thorkoyr has been Sabretooth. 6 Red for 4 attacks (each boosted by Okoye) has been a damage generator unlike any other. Scorpion was fun, too, for his PVP, as he used Purple to do something similar (though that's a larger ramp, it's not like I had a choice of another 3rd in his PVP)

For your daily rewards D3 adds in 2 shards for your BS 5*.

250 days to get 1 cover for your 5*. That's almost a whole year. I think that dedication to the game is rewardable.

Huge windfall with milestones. Just cashed mine in. I did not track, but I expect some people like nbperp to have a bunch of stuff to cash in like I did.

Note that many of this are progressive. You will see something like “raise 1 5* to champion” to get 50 5* shards and some iso.
When you click it, you get the rewards, but now it is “raise 3 5* to champion” and you can get 60 5* shards and more iso.

You could just REALLY feed one toon. Or you can go back and forth. I did this. I took my Okoye up 4 levels (making her 10 over Thor, which, I think, is the sweet spot where she controls one more color) then I started moving it around to different toons to get them a level (or just shy of it....like I have Kitty at 490 shards...on Monday when Magneto goes into the LLs I plan to favorite all of those close toons to push them over).

Anyway, just wanted to give the heads up. Have fun!

Oh man, I am not where you guys are but I am very much enjoying this. I decided to try some things out like level up a 4* up to level 270, using shards, or ISO/RISO to level things up. Pretty satisfying.

Best of all, I did not do DDQ yet today so I have that going for me

IT is almost as if D3 listened to all of those ideas I had about "There must be a way we can get more _______"


My only concern is that the "promote 3-star Heroes into a Champion X times" is gone. So I guess it maxes out at 47. I wish it went further cause of the farms. I am sure NBperp wishes it went further since you probably still have 2-3 max champs of your 3*s

Hopefully they do something to keep it fresh. If not, oh well, it was all freebies.

As it is, I now have Okoye up to 11 levels ahead of Thor, which is what jackstar says gets her ranking one more color.
I figure that I will be getting some more shards come Monday when Mags hits the LLs. Right now my next reward is 150 5* shards for collecting 20 levels for 5* characters.
It appears to me that things are cumulative. So when I hit 20 on that it may go to 25, but I will be at 20/25, as opposed to needing a full 25.
I am guessing that I will get that plus at least one more when I do my popping, possibly two more. That should get me to another 12 levels over Thor, which gives me a nice buffer in case I happen to pull a random cover for him somewhere along the way.

Oh, and kudos for getting a bunch of support tokens, including a purple.
I will hang onto that one for a really good selection and hope for a darn fine 5*.

Now I am actually sitting here thinking that I may go ahead and spend the ISO to machamp my Medusa Seedking. She is at 13 covers with, I think, 17 levels ready to go between shards and saved covers.

That will get me a few more milestones....plus some Black Bolt levels.
