The game is no longer afoot. Wade was a great sport, but I had all of the lucky rolls, and so the League of Assassins (lead by that pain in the ### Damian Way) assassinated the Runaways.

Wade was super cool, and put up with my vacation shenanigans. I called 2 or 3 times to change the time because I was still doing other stuff.

I'm undefeated in Alaska!

I played in a 300 point Golden Age event last night with a "Father's Day" twist. Each team had to have a at least one figure must possess the teen or kid keyword. This was the “Child.”

At the beginning of the game, each had to choose a friendly "Father Figure" on our teams. The "Father Figure" must be at least twice as many points as the chosen “Child.”

Then there was a scenario rule called "What a Nice Tie". When the “Child” is adjacent to the "Father figure", the “Child” may given a power action to give the Father Figure a light object from outside the game. The "Father Figure" may use this object as if they possessed Super Strength.

I played a "Soldier" theme team:
Captain America (HoT), 72 pts (the "Father figure")
Contingency Plan (on Cap), 12 points
Bucky, 30 pts. (the "Child")
War Machine, 137 pts.
Bug, 44 pts.
Lunge (on Bug), 5 pts.

Man, it was a great team to play but holy cow! War Machine is a beast!

I'm gonna have to find more excuses to play that figure in the future!

Agreed. I wanted to offer a nod to the less conventional family model and almost played a "My Two Dads" team:

Superman and Flash, 199 pts
Fortitude, 25 pts.
Kid Flash, 45 pts.
Robin (Alpha), 30 pts.

I don't get what is so difficult for folk to grasp when it comes to "Judges are the final authority".

I've had a player who had a difficult time grasping that little nugget. Pretty much, it got to the point where I had to tell them to either toe the line or find somewhere else to enjoy his brand of gaming.

When the player refused to do either, I made the choice for him and banned him from future events.

Apparently, this particular player only recognizes nbperp as the one true authority on HeroClix.

Really, it's not a difficult to decision for folks who can't play well with others just to stay home or find somewhere else to roll their dice...

... and apparently I've already recently repped quite a few people who posted on that thread because I keep getting the "share the wealth" message when I try.

I have two suggestions then (and I've themed them for the World Cup!):

1) Yellow Card: Issue a verbal and/or written warning to said player.

2) Red card: If said player persists in his infantile behavior, show him the door (and remind him he was warned).


Feel free to encourage your players to blow those annoying horns as you eject him.

I may actually try this to lighten the mood. Might even convince everyone in the store to pretend they're at a sporting event and sing along as players get "ejected"...
