FFX did have a certain amount of hype around it when it came out. Above the usual hype surrounding a new FF game, it was also the first FF on the PS2. The cut scenes were (of course) gorgeous and were employing what was suppost to be a new technology that allowed the acted dialog to match what the cg characters were saying (a little hit and miss, IMHO).

Yeah..I was going to say it was the first that acted dialog. I think that's the big reason it had the advertising it did.

...I'm not even gonna ask...

I can't beleive Disgaea is selling for $150. Glad I bought mine when it came out. I still enjoy Final fantasy tactics for the PS more though. I was always a big fan of the job system in FF Tactics.

If you think thats bad I've seen the original guide to FF tactics sell for $400 :speechles. To make it worse I have 2 but can't bear to part with either for some reason. Yeah Disgaea 2 is pretty good though.

Same here. I had to shell out 100 for the Versus guide to FF7 complete with poster.

Wow...I can't believe these guides are selling for that much! Thats just nuts! Wow. I wish I could find mine! I might have to sell 'em. Yeah...I'm not getting disgaea right now. I'm having some problems with gamefly....
