No, that's usually included. The element I'm looking for was not only omitted but changed in some origin retellings; including the history on the back of his Heroclix card!

The chemical that changed him and gave him super-speed was changed into a chemical that just activated his latent meta-gene ??? I think it was "heavy water" in the retcon.
The fact that he drank the heavy water on purpose, rather than "falling asleep" or "being overcome by the fumes"?

This is proving to be a difficult one, so I will allow players to "look up" the answer. By that I mean go back and re-read the original story, and see if you can spot the difference.

The diff being why he was there. First, he was drinking that "Heavy Water" thinking he'd get drunk.
In the retcon, he was drinking that "Hard Water", thinking it'd work like liquid ######, cause he had a date that night and didn't want to disappoint.
Was it that, before he gained the powers, he was running around being called the Flash anyways... possibly because, aside from the helmet, he also wore a trenchcoat and he'd seemingly pop up out of nowhere and open the coat, thereby garnering the nickname "The Flash"
