true. Its always a good idea to ask anyways whether or not your opponent is using a Fusion Deck. Now for the mostmessed up dark hole effect, watch what happens whe you pull the Swap combo and your opponent summons TER to suck back up his own Swapped monster.
LOL....ugh!
Um but wouldn't that not be possible????? I mean if you attacked SoI after being Swapped then your opp would not have time to use TER's effect............. or am I missing something??? :ermm:
The Summoner of Illusions has been kick ### lately in this deck. It's been the card to lead me to victory every single victory so far. I currently run 2 and I always end up drawing one early game, discarding it for Lightning Vortex, TIV, etc., and then drawing one late game just in time to win. Late game seems to be the best time to draw Summoner of Illusions...
So anyway, since I'm not using the first Summoner of Illusions that I draw - do you guys think I should take one out? The only reason why I am considering keeping both in is for the fact that I have a history of drawing one early game and one late game. I'd really love to keep the one that I draw late game....
hmm, interesting prospect Des. I'd say keep both. When you have that early draw, then you can use it to help stop an early OTK your opponent has, or you can use it as a hand discard cost without worry about ditching something more potent at the time being.
Another little injection I'd like to throw in here is the fiendish ways we can use Horn of Heaven. Yeah, this trap I think has been overlooked by Solemn Judgement as the preferred Jinzo killer only because it can negate anything. However, I've recently picked up my second Horn (one MRD in trade and one DB2 this weekend) and I've started to think about it more. I know you lose field presence by tributing your own monster, but how can we take advantage of that more? I was thinking it would go nice in my Fiend Exodia deck as another way to get Emissary into the graveyard. Similarly, use your Sangan as a tribute and you get to search for your next turn. What else is out there? I know Gilfer is out since his effect is optional, but I'm brain farting at the moment. Help me fiendie-wan-kenobis, you're my only hope! 8^D
Well with the searchers - there is obviously an advantage. Or you could try using Tokens. (Scapegoat) And toss it into your Tournament-Friendly-Cookie-Cutter-Chaos-Scapegoat-Abuse. (TFCCCSA, as the hip people call it)
Well I'm going to pop a question that I posted in the lair...but it seems to be dead in there right now, so here it is:

So do you guys think Top decking is even an issue anymore? And if so do you think that deck manipulation (Sangan, RoTa, etc.) Can nullify bad topdecking?
Word, the goats were sitting in my mind too. I just wasn't sure. Thanks Des!
Hmmm, well, I've never been too concerned with the top deck. Though I have fallen prey to it on numerous occasions. I guess maybe that's where the Efficiency aspect of "The Triangle" comes in to play. I make sure that I keep the deck within efficiency bounds so that a Duo drop on me won't completely wreck my plans because there is a Newdoria, or Spell card that will catalyst with a trap already in play to get the momentum back.
I'm personally dislike it when somebody will tell you to remove a card purely because its a bad top deck. I like to play the versatility angle more myself so it leads that there will be a lot of cards that can't hold its own, but I'd rather do 300 times the nastiness with 2 cards and wait a turn than only 100 times the nastiness with 1.
Topdecking recently hasn't been an issue for me since I severely altered my playing style. If my oppenent has me in the ropes with 2-3 monsters. I now would summon a Sangan. Let them think on what the hell I am doing. Then they would decide to over-extend and try to inflict as much damage as possible, completey wasting their hand. Sangan is destroyed - I search for Sinister Serpent. And bam! I completely blow up the field with TIV.
Before with my much more aggressive playing style, Instead of summoning Sangan, I would have played TIV that turn. Instead of trying to get the most potency out of TIV.
So I think your playing style has a lot to do with what cards you run in your deck.
Hmmm...I guess I just answered my own question. I must have a 2nd soul inside of me like Yugi and this guy is giving me all of the answers....
Yes...its me...Yami-Des....I'm glad you have found me. We now shall embark on a wild adventure to meet the Dark Ruler himself. Quick! To the Desmobile!
<smiles /> Sorry, coffee kickin' in...
But I like the point you bring up with your playing style shift. Without revealing too much of your strategies, why did you decide to shift?
Dillie0 and I were discussion Puppet Magic and the ways I could slide it into my deck. When I thought of how much of a burden the RFG part of the card is, seeing how it may slow down Necrofear. So I decided to put a little bit of emphasis on the RFG part of the deck when I realized....
D.D. Survivor!!!!!!!!
Woot! Summon D.D. Survivor, play Puppet Magic, remove D.D. Survivor from the game, special summon Terrorking Archfiend, D.D. Survivor comes back. Its basically a free revival card for fiends!!!. (Well, for level 4 fiends anyway) And the fact that D.D. Survivor can be search through Reinforcement of the Army just makes it hell of a lot more consistent. And let's not forget that D.D. Survivor also has the ability to negate cards that are heavily played such as D.D. Warrior Lady and D.D. Assailant. Waldo - if you're still using those D.D. Scout Planes, you should consider Survivor!

DANG! Im going to put some d.d-s in my deck...once i find my two... I am horrible at keeping track of things......
Edit: another question.... why does it seem the forum stops every time i post..
Well most of us post during the day (while at work) and if I remember correctly you posted toward the end of the day yesterday. So don't think we don't like you or anything...it just ends up that way...heh.
Moving on...Topic: Winged Minion
What's the point of this card? Instead of summoning it, and sacing it to increase the attack of one of my monsters, I can just tribute summon for a Ha Des and still maintain all of the tech. (Last Will). I suppose the only advantage I could think of for this card is low level attacks under Gravity Bind.
With conjunction with up to 4 Sheep Tokens, it means some GREAT revival for Fiends.
Hmmm....
=======================
And Winged Minion isn't TOO bad. It PERMANENTLY increases the ATK and DEF of a Fiend by 700.
So Mefist is 2500ATK/2400DEF
Dark Ruler is 3150ATK/2300DEF
And even better, Chaos Necromancer gains 1000ATK points from him.
It's a very Techy card. Like for example, imagine Raregold Armor equipped to a 2550DEF Wall of Illusions.
Plus it's a Fiend that sends itself to the graveyard....
Waldo10032 – The Fiendish Duelist says:
