____ Morana always listened to the elements of the world to guide her through her life. Her father never understood that. He was a famous monster hunter, and he probably saw her the same way he saw them. A monster.
____ For a lot of her life, Morana was angry and confused. Why did her father leave her in that "hospital"? Did he really think the Gemroom was safe?
____ Still, despite it all she missed him.
____ Escaping was easy, but tracking him down was not.
____ Her search took her all around the world, until a few days ago when she reached Askan City.
____ The Great Hall was destroyed, and the King was dead. The Reavers, the King's former cyborg guardsman, had resorted to looting the city.
____ They were in charge through brute force. But Morana didn't care about that.
____ She found her father's spear broken in two, near what the locals called a "terrorist plot". Then she found a hand, and a foot.
____ Her father Bloodhound was dead.
____ The red hot anger in her bubbled in her face, but she also felt relieved. Then she felt guilty for that relief.
____ In that moment she didn't know if she loved or hatred the man that spent his life avoiding her.
____ She was a twelve year old girl, lost and alone.
____ Morana had nowhere else to go now that her search was over, yet the wind still called out to her.
____ It beckoned her South, through the provinces and to a strange island.
____ The elements had always been kind to her, so she agreed and made her way there.
____ She hitched a ride on an oilbird, then crossed from the port in Fawscym. Trudging through the jungles of Morrscape was easy, albeit hot and humid.
____ Eventually, she found herself in one of the most Southern areas of the world, just off the coast of the Morrscape province. Temple Island.
____ The island was named for the ancient temples and ruins strewn about its many trails and jungles.
____ A great beauty to explore, and Morana hoped there she could find...something...anything. A purpose.
____ She wandered to the southern coast of the island, exhausted from a hard day of travel.
____ There, she witnessed something incredible.
____ In the water, a giant octopus creature (Eldtritch) pushed through the water, while a woman with bone wings (The Brood Queen) stood upon its head. And a large man with a black sword (Skarn) stood beside her.
____ Were they Gods? Heroes? Or monsters?
____ Morana wasn't shy to the abnormal things that happened in this world. She knew about mutants, and despite what her father said, she knew she was one.
____ But these people? They were the ones historians would write stories about. They were legends, marvels in her eyes.
____ Morana studied everything, awe struck and amazed.
____ From the left side another two figures approached. They rode across the sky on a fiery dragon.
____ One seemed kind of normal looking, with handsome features and a green shirt (Lamplighter). He created the dragon from his ring.
____ But the other...he was all black, seven feet tall, maybe eight (Morana had never been good at heights) and when he clenched his fists, a spray of tendrils released and then returned (Hellspawn).
____ Morana knew she was witnessing a meeting of the Gods.
____ "Skarn! Where is Varuna? And Eldritch...have you turned traitor against The Justice League?" Said Lamplighter.
____ "Stop talking," said The Brood Queen.
____ "Who the hell are you? Bird-Woman? She-Skeleton?"
____ Hellspawn tilted his head as he gazed upon the Queen.
____ "Lamplighter, I believe that is Red.
____ The darkness within her has been fed.
____ This creature before she has been.
____ This my friend is The Brood Queen."
____ "The Brood Queen? Wait, are you saying this thing is Red?"
____ "Skarn must have done something to her.
____ I once had to give her a cure."
____ "Hold on, I didn't-" started Skarn.
____ "So we take them out!" Lamplighter said to Hellspawn. "You go for that traitor Eldritch, and I'll take out the bear."
____ Hellspawn nodded. The demon took a running jump into the air and aimed his tendrils down. If Eldritch was a traitor then he was going to die.
____ Halfway through his jump, a chain shot out and wrapped around Hellspawn's neck. It pulled the demon out of the air, wrenched him back and slammed him on the beach.
____ Morana stumbled backwards, as the demon's body landed only a few feet from her. She searched around and was surprised to see Dani Carlyle racing out of the jungle. She was on a bike that left a fiery streak behind it, and she had two chains in her hands.
____ "Not today, Hellspawn!" Said Dani.
____ Wow! Thought Morana. Dani Carlyle was her idol. Everyone knew about the take-no-shlt leader from Lyle. And here she was in the flesh. The little girl could race out and touch her.
____ "You idiot!" Shouted The Brood Queen. Her voice was terrible and seethed with disdain. Morana feared it.
____ "I'm still Red, this was my choice."
____ "Yeah right!" Lamplighter flew in hard, blasting them with fireballs.
____ The Brood Queen deflected his attacks with some kind of round red disks made of pure red energy. Two fireballs struck the discs and were reflected back into Lamplighter's chest. The fiery man fell back into the water.
____ Maybe Morana should do something. Maybe she could harness the wind, or some fire and-
____ Suddenly two more chains fired out from the jungle beside her. These were darker, with blades on the end of them. They tore through the air as harpoons and struck Eldritch's body. The great sea creature cried out, and flipped Skarn onto the beach.
____ Somewhere in the shadows, the presence that held those darker chains stood not a few feet from the little girl. She cried out, not knowing who or what it was.
____ Morana ran onto the beach, away from the shadows and into the hot air.
____ Something floated before the sun, an angelic figure with blonde hair and the wings of a bird. Morana had never seen an angel before, but with the way Walu described them, this would probably be one.
____ The angel carried two hammers, one flaming and the other electric.
____ "Do not fear, my child. Thou can seek cover, for I, Michael, have come to banish the darkness!" Then the angel's eyes flashed yellow.
____ Morana stumbled away and watched as Michael, the Archangel, flew forth into the jungle. There were noises of a struggle, and a few seconds later, Michael had lifted the dark presence into the sky.
____ The shadowy figure had dark skin, a torn red and black cape, spiked red gauntlets, vampire fangs and glowing green eyes.
____ "Thy end has come, Nightstalker!" Shouted the angel.
____ "Ouu, I'm shaking." Said the captive ghoul.
____ The hammer struck into the creature's head, scattering...robotic parts...everywhere?
____ Nightstalker's corpse was dropped to the ground.
____ "A Doomed bot!" Said Michael.
____ The real Nightstalker was still in the jungle, pulling Eldritch onto the shore.
____ Morana ran to a more open part of the beach. What exactly was all of this? What had she stumbled upon?
____ Dani Carlyle whipped the demon with her fiery chains.
____ The skeletal witch traded blows with the man on fire.
____ Two dark chains pulled the giant octopus out of the water.
____ And the bear man had become an actual bear. A bear with a black sword who now challenged the Archangel.
____ The little girl stared wide-eyed.
____ That was when He showed up.
____ She recognized him immediately as Kallum, the "One and True God" some say. In Walu they praised him, and carried crosses on little necklaces to show their devotion. He was a God, Morana knew that for sure.
____ A shiver crept up her back as Kallum hovered in the sky, staring down at the brawl before him.
____ He smiled, and the smile scared her more than anything else she saw that day.
____ The one called Hellspawn was still chained to the beach, and the heroic Dani Carlyle was not going to let him go.
____ "You should have joined me!" Said Kallum. "Now you shall die."
____ The God fired a single laser beam out of his eye, right at the captive demon. But, in the last moment, the demon dissolved down into a black ooze and the laser was avoided.
____ Still, the beam continued on. It was on a direct course for...
____ Morana felt something hot push through her stomach, but it was so quick that it didn't really hurt all that much.
____ Everyone was staring at her. Uh-oh, should she have not been there? What were they all staring at?
____ She felt kind of tired, and...was it raining? What was this liquid? She stared down and realized there was a hole in her stomach.
____ The last thing Morana saw wasn't all of those legendary people staring at her. It was her father's broken spear. Then her legs gave way, and she didn't even feel the sand hit her. She didn't even feel it.
Second - is Dani helping Eldritch/Skarn/Red? Or just incidental? It's gotta be fake Dani, right? And Morana is just calling her Dani because she's 12 and has no idea about the clones or anything?
Third - sorry for not being around for lynch the other day, we had a 'Town Hall' with our sector president so I was in a tent in the parking lot.
Fourth - two kills that might not be kills again... Michael and Kallum. Are we just getting lucky/good and defending them, or are the Michael kills not *really* happening? (I realize grizzz has claimed responsibility for saving Nightstalker, and I have no reason to disbelieve him except the weirdness of two mafia kills and the fact that Michael has appeared twice to make kills that weren't actually on players.)

Considering that bot should have died the night before, I think it's mostly luck.
