Anyone thought up of a Mefist Control deck? Some Mefists, Airknights, SOCL, 3 Book of Moon, Mirror Wall etc etc.? The synergy is awesome on paper, although i never tried it in real life.
For the Ritual deck yeah i used alot of things like Ragaki Breaks, Magic Drains and such throwing some of those high lvl monsters to the graveyard. Also used 2 Monster Rencarnations so i can grab out the Ritual monsters that didn't get summoned corrctly. think i tried Feather of a Pheinox in there also but been awhile since i played the deck.
Also i have tried a deck with mirror walls and mephist. mine was Mephiest, Inferno Hammer, and Shadow Stalkers with some newdoria and other field control monsters. i used BoM and Swords of Concealing Light to help keep their monster face down. the mirror walls were great back when Mirror Force was banned since it could keep all your monsters alive and it lower their attack not stoping it so meshist and Inferno Hammer could get their effect ore often.
I prefer Rush Recklessly to Mirror Wall because of the offesnive capabilities.
Mirror Wall be better in the sense that it can make ALL of your monsters stronger than your oppenents, but once they realize that a Mirror Wall is up they won't go charging in until it's removed.
So in the end Rush Rec. has a slight advantage over Mirror Wall. Just cross your fingers for Shrink to come out...
I will always prefer using Mirror Wall in my old Chick the Yellow styled deck. A weak monster like that seduces attacks, after which the Mirror Wall increases chances of survival and resetting of the trap.
In a Fiend deck, the first mosnter that pops out as wanting that trap is Wall of Illusions.
while i am not as well versed in fiends as the rest of you are, I must say that the dark realm cards are extremely impressive. All I can say is that I may be tempted to join the dark side again. Also, it is my belief that the dark realm shall spell the end (or nearly the end) of any hand control cards like delinquent.
On a side note....do you believe that delinquent duo might remain un banned due to the elemental energy set? I dont mean to turn this into a ban discusion thread, but im just curious about what you think on this one card in regards to the ban list. Especially with the drak realm cards coming to us in a while.
Depending on how effective those Dark Realm cards prove against the big discard effects (Mesfit, Delinquent Duo, Don Zaloog, etc) I could forsee the return of Alfred Hitchcock and the 10,000 Crows.
I've aslready proxied the Dark Realm Deck and one things stands out:
They swarm!!!
Wait, wait wait...let me rephrase that....
THEY.......SWARM!!!!!!
Check it out:
My opponent goes first and does the standard opening move:
Sets a monster and a S/T card.
I draw (Crossout, Gold, Silver, Silver, Berserk, Graceful)
Activate Crossout to destroy the face-down monster (Spirit Reaper).
Activate Graceful and draw "Silver", "Gold" and "Thunder of Dark Realm". Discard Gold and Silver from my hand and Special Summon them.
Activate Thunder of Dark Realm to destroy the S/T card (MST). And discard "Bage" and Special Summon it.
Summon Berserk (1800), attack directly, discard Silver and Special Summon it.
Attack with Silver (2300)
Attack with Silver (2300)
Attack With Gold (2300)
Attack with Bage (1600)
10,300!
Card of Safe Return is wonderful in this deck. Very happy drawing power.
And Transaction of Darkness can be horrible for your opponent. I mean, I had an idea, but I never imagined it would be THIS good!

GO Rescue Kitty!!! Claw their eyes out!!! 53 One Turn Kills (Including First Turn Kills)
19 First Turn Kills
65 Sheep Tokens trampled for over 3000 Damage each
10 Black Luster Soldier - Envoy of the Beginning removed from play
1 Black Luster Soldier (Ritual) removed from play
11 Jinzos Removed from play

You can't assume that the deck would work like this everytime. How many times have you test played it?
Yeha it looks like this could be really really good for fiends the big question could be the new Ban/resticted list, but then its been a few set without any changes to the list so we just got to sit back and see. Was also thinking Card Destrction, Seiral Spell, and Rope of Life can be fun. Dumping a hand with 2-3 of these new feinds can make for quick feild presence.
I haven't been following all the posts on the Dark Realm monsters, but from what I've read of their effects I'm fairly certain those 3 cards won't activate them, since the discard isn't the last thing to happen, therefore you miss their timing.
Des, proxy the deck and I SWEAR, 7 out of 10 duels you'll get 3 monsters on the field FIRST turn!
I honestly didn't think it would work, but it does!
Remember that costs don't count towards being "discarded by another card's effect", so Serial Spell won't work.
But seriously, this set of Fiends is NOT to be messed with. Necrovalley won't stop them either!
And Passage Barrier to the Dark Realm is a Rite of Spirit for them!

In your example let's say that your oppenent had a second spell/trap(Waboku).
1. You've succesfully dumped your entire hand onto the field.
2. Next turn your oppenent summons a Tribe Infecting Virus and declares fiends.
If 7/10 duels are identical to your example, the Dark Realm monsters are as unstable as a FTK. I prefer to slowly put my oppenent into a situation where I can take the win. Overextending on the first turn is far too risky.
Card of Safe Return is an excellent method to replenish your resources, but the chances that you will get one in every opening hand aren't 100%.
It's definately possible to tone down the speed of the deck and to play more conservatively. Doing so would increase the stability and win percentage of the deck.
For further analysis, do you mind sharing your build with us waldo?
P.S. I think it would be interesting to hyrbid this deck's capability of swarming with Goblin King.
