1) Most Opinion Polls begin "X percent of people say/claim they believe Y' which is vastly different than "X percent of beople believe Y".
Are you sure you choose the right adjective? VASTLY??? Seriously.....you think a VAST number of those 31 people who answered this survey (well 32 now I think), got their own analysis of their own opinion wrong?
I would have to give the individual credit for being the "Subject matter Expert" on his own opinion. As such to suggest a VAST number of them answered incorrectly is ludicous. (And it would take a VAST number of incorrect responces to change the conclusions from question 2 which was near unannimously answered the same way.)
This thread is much like the football pools floating around where I work.
It should be labeled "FOR AMUSEMENT PURPOSES ONLY".
No one is going to win and there will be another one next week.
YES WE DID SAVE HEROCLIX !
Now thank us by taking care of the people that take care of you.

Isn't that how the entire realms should be labeled? You can't take too much on here seriously.

By many modern accounts language and language comprehension evolved separately. Language is essentially manipulation whereas Comprehension (language or otherwise) is a form of interpreting the environment for your best purpose. Given an understanding of Evolution it's hard to imagine that this could have happened any other way as it allows the two abilities to not have to develop simultaneously.
Language then, as looked at psychologically, is just a means to get other people to do what you want. Of course it's purpose has expanded, but it's important to realize what the likely basis for all communication is.
Racist people don't tell themselves they are racist, they justify their behavior.
Greedy People don't tell themselves they are greedy, they justify their behavior.
I don't tell myself that the real reason I'm responding to your posts is that I'm lonely and have made no friends in the year since I moved to Edwardsville, but it's way more likely than the idea I'm trying to inform you.
Arch-Conservatives please ignore this.
[George Bush didn't think he was being greedy for his oil buddies, he convinced himself that what he was doing was the right thing. He probably convinced himself that Iraq, a country half a world away, with no ties to Al Quaida, who had been suffering under a 10 year long embargo, was actually a threat. Moreover he convinced a lot of others of the same thing, who convinced themselves for their own reasons.]
People don't walk around looking at themselves in a critical light, People who do are given Prozac and labeled depressed. The ability to accurately see yourself for all your flaws and foibles is a detrimental trait, it slows you down and makes learning things about the world and behaviors harder. People with an inflated view of themselves are often looked up to and admired. The ability to respond to a question quickly and with a plausible answer is a very positive trait, self introspection is not.
Iron River Read my wife's comic or I will say mean things about your dog.
I suckered these guys into playing: Feedback Damage
Fine, believe in Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny, and Prince Charming instead.
What I've said is based on a sound understanding of Psychological research, social science principles, and evolutionary processes.
Denying what's going on around them has not worked for people real well though.
So out of the 32 who have ATTEMPTED to ASESS their own opinion as to wether or not Powercreep affects their purchases, how many do you estimate incorrectly identified their own opinion? Since I'm a collector, and frequently make my big purchase of each set before I know the set's composition, I can safely say I answered 100% correctly. That leaves 31 others. How many of those do you think don't correctly know their own opinion? Just a ballpark guess would do fine. Are you still sticking with "VAST NUMBER"? Can we safely assume that's more than 50%?
Question 2> How does powercreep affect the amount you spend on new sets?
1) There is no powercreep. Its power-evolution baby!
2) Power-Evolution does not affect how much I spend on new heroclix sets. My current economic position combined with character selection (and presense of Chase figures that I desire, like Superman) are the primary deterimining factors.
After all the time spent giggling over the validity of this being a scientific survey or not and laughing hysterically at the tags people have applied to this thread I realized I never answered myself.
Hope you're back for a while brazil, you do liven the place up a bit!
Begging for Atle to be clixed! (Though I'd settle for a Power Girl and Terra Duo!)
