FlutterDave was away at a wedding rehearsal tonight, so this week's results are brought to you by the often dependable AppleJames. (too much TV make James something something)
Coming in First tonight with a solid 900 points was DrGirlfriend, with a team of Wonderwomen. (who were tougher to fight than I expected).
In Second with a mere 548 points was Sgt. Grimes, With a Collosal Busting team of Thanos, Tomar Re, 2 Researchers and 2 Hydra Technicians.
In third surprisingly enough was Me, with 751 points (but only 1 win), playing characters who have been the Director of SHIELD -Nick Fury(2), Sharon Carter(4), Iron Man (7), Captain America (9) and Quake(10).
Coming in fourth with 538 points was one of our newer players - Christian (AAGH?), with a mixed team of Destroyer, Cosmo, Rip Hunter and Dr. Strange. He Lost to Sgt. Grimes on the last roll of the dice, it was quite a nail biter!
In fifth was Tom (Incarnate?) with 490 points. He played Dormammu, 3 Astral Stranges, Daredevil and Black Alice, and probably would be much higher in the list if he hadn't faced Grimes in the 1st round.
In sixth was Than0seid with 330 points. He played the JSA - crisis chase Superman, Sandman, Mr Terrific and Black Canary.
In seventh was Pat with 370 points (and no wins). He played a bunch of Asgardians- Thor/Loki and their aides, a Valkyrie and a Frost Giant. In the second round Pat had probably the worst dice luck I have seen in ages. It was incredible. He probably only succeeded on 3 rolls all game. and he was packing a 12 attack for most of that.
In last place was Matt J with 47 points. He played a mixed team of Lord Marvel, Red Shift, Cosmo and a Cardinal of the UCT, and had the bad luck to face off against Crisis Superman and then Dormammu.
Finally to Recap what Next game is in case people have forgotten, its
May 10 – “You’ll never guess my secret Identity!" 300 pts. You must include one alter ego figure. If this figure uses its alter ego power within line of sight of your opponent, your opponent scores the points value of the figure. If the figure uses its alter ego outside of your opponent’s line of sight, you score the points value of the figure. Characters occupying the same square as the Phone Booth object are hidden from line of sight for the purposes of this.
In sixth was Than0seid with 330 points. He played the JSA - crisis chase Superman, Sandman, Mr Terrific and Black Canary.
While I may have come in sixth, I did manage to pull the mythical three attack turn from Earth 2 superman, with three figs around him and hold the line it was a thing of beauty!
Can you just not use alter ego and let it die? Or is that the same as them scoring the points for the figure using alter ego?
To clarify, Points scored for observing/hiding an alter ego transition are separate to points scored by KOing a figure.
As an example, if Bruce Banner turns into the Hulk, but is seen by his opponent, his opponent scores 55 points. If his opponent then KOs hulk, he will score another 55 points for killing him. Likewise if Bruce activated his alter ego in secret, his player would earn 55 points, but if he was later KOed then his opponent would also score 55 points for the KO.
In addition, Modoc and I have reached a general consensus to houserule the Alter Ego powers from the older sets (B&B, WOS) so that they operate in the same way as the more recent ones, ie, the power action does not cause pushing damage. This can be considered to be in effect from this week onwards.
Finally, because I think its a fun idea for an object, the Phone Booth object (currently retired, only usaeble in golden age) can be considered to have the following effect: At the beginning of their turn, any character occupying a square containing the phonebooth, can be given a free action to activate any Alter-ego power that they can currently use. (
Also if anyone has any spare researchers and Asguardian warriors (the ones from the boosters not starter) please bring them in i have generics to trade for them.
Thursday 17th may
Will be EITHER:
Infinity Gauntlet 4: 400 points, Galactic Guardians sealed
OR
'Look at the size of that thing!'
Points: 1200
Actions per round: 4
Build: Your force must include at least 1 colossal
IKON is supposed to be getting in new stock of GG this week, but... theyre IKON, so no guarantees . Basically if the stock is in, it will be the IG event

Just to clarify, the colossal event is not an IG event then? As I come straight from work it's impossible for me to bring one to the game, so I just want to make sure I'm not going to be missing out on another IG event because of it.
Ok guys, no stock in this week, so it looks like we're going ahead with the colossals game.
Thanoseid: Thats right, its not an infinity gauntlet event. If you want though I can bring extra colossals along. Anything you particularly fancy playing? I have all of the GSX colossals, all the GSX Toys R us colossals, and Galactus, Uatu, Dormammu and Master Mold
- 500pts 3 rounds 3 battlefield conditions 5 actions per turn (considered an epic game)
- Modern age figures Golden age rules (what is being referred to apparently as Silver Age)
- Every character must start on the last click of their dial, when pushed or taking damage the dials are turned in the opposite direction ie anti-clockwise.
any questions ?
Yes it's an old favourite but it's one that we have been putting off for a while as other games have intruded. Expect to see lots of Bizaros, Project Superman and the like. I've heard of people wanting to play Thanos, Shazam, Phoenix and the like. No one though has yet guessed the figure I want to play ...

I'm guessing bb047 The Flashes, purely because of that shonky power of his on the last click.
INTO THE SPEED FORCE : Give The Flashes a power action. Remove all objects and up to 300 points of other characters from the map. Place all removed objects back on the map and then place all removed characters on the map. All placements must be legal. Deal The Flashes 1 unavoidable damage.
Then the flashes end up on a 12 attack, 19 defence and 4 damage click.
That will be _BUCKETS_ of fun to play against, especially as it hasn't been errated to say target character so 1st turn immunity doesn't protect against it.
I remember that there was talk of banning him during Bizarro games after he first came out as that power is bullcrap on a top click, but then I'm not the judge of this event.
