So your location doesn't have Chipotle or Popeyes. Truly I must rethink my rankings of most rural places in America as I didn't have southern Indiana on the list.
We are almost exactly an hour from 3 large cities. We have Bloomington to the north, which is a big College town. We have Louisville to the south east. We have Evansville to the south west.
But here in the middle of all that we are limited on our fast food choices. We have McDonalds, Burger King, Arbys, Rallys, Fazollis, Wendys, Hardees, Dairy Queen, Grandys, Long John Silvers and Subway. Plus a few of the bigger Pizza chains.
Wow, not a small number I guess, but we do lack a few of what I consider the more exotic choices.
We had the same thing back when we had cable. We'd see Sonic commercials all the time, but the closest one was an hour away.
The commercials, for some reason, had us very curious. Then we found out that they had Cheesy Tots.
Burger King got rid of their Cheesy Tots and ruined our LIVES!! So, we decided that the next time we went out in that direction at all, we'd be going far enough to see what Sonic was all about.
Their Cheesy Tots were tater tots with american cheese melted on top; a far cry from the goodness that was Burger King's version.
Nothing else at Sonic impressed us.
I don't recall Cheesy Tots, but it's no exaggeration to say that I've gone months, probably even most of a year at a time between visits to Burger King, depending on the year. I'm sure several things came and went without my noticing.
I'm sure Sonic will quickly become old hat for us, but it will be nice having another option in the local mix, especially as it will be another spot in easy walking distance. So far it's been the drinks that looked most interesting in their commercials.
As I went light on dinner last night (lunch stuck with me, and everyone else had other plans, so I didn't bother with a formal meal) all this talk of food is interesting me a great deal. Lunchtime for me's still a couple hours off, though - we don't go for it until 1.
No Hardees, and its called carlos jr up here.. Mcdonalds, Burger king, wendys, Runza, Pizza hut, Dominos, perkins, Freddys, Amigos, long John Silvers/KFC.

Huh. Some of those I've never heard of. I'll have to add them to my list of fast food places to visit.
Longest-Reigning Drunken HeroClix Champion - anyone got a liver?

Runza is a local chain, and is known for its Runza sandwitch, Beef, cabbage in a hotpocket bun thing and baked in the oven.(Its like a gourmat hotpocket). But thats the only one I know is local..
I would disagree. The best games I've ever played are the ones that are that difficult. The hard fought wins are always the best.
Now, I've played some tough games, and I agree they are great. However, with Starro, EVERY GAME you play against it will be that tough. Not my (or even the guy who played the stupid thing's) idea of a good time.
The game I won to win a regional? Tough (among the toughest i've ever played), but dang was it fun despite the nailbiting. The game i played against Starro? It was not fun. I could see the guy playing him having fun healing up all my damage (without paying close enough attention to the Starro markers he was putting down which allowed me to get the win), but I believe he wasn't having that much fun himself.

Does it give one the squirts as a true Hot Pocket should?
Catering to the lowest common denominator since Feb 2003.

How many attacks did I make last time I played against Starro? Oh yeah. One. It did one damage, then he Mind Controlled me into walking back to my starting area over and over and over and over and over and then I lost. IT WAS SO MUCH FUN YOU GUYS.
This following a game where Starro Mind Controlled a team into walking into the open air on the Avengers roof map over and over and over. Woooo balance.
