I miss Nimrod. He was like Apocalypse: Powerful, forbearing, a genuinely awesome villain... in concept. Then they did nothing with him for a long time and turned him into a farce.
Seriously, Uncanny X-men 194, 208, and 209 were such AWESOME stories.
The fact that he was becoming "human" when he was working in NYC was pretty cool too. I was hoping that they had Nicholas Hunter appear at some point, who could turn INTO Nimrod after the Siege Perilous experience. Ah well.

That is what I was hoping, too.
I will admit, when he convinced Mastermold to kill himself, that was pure brilliance.
Nimrod was before my time... I was always a fan of Bastion. I especially liked J. Jonah Jameson's interactions with him. Plus, I'm a fan of Operation: Zero Tolerance. Carlos Pacheco's X-Menwere puuuuurty.

There's nothing about bright pink that says foreboding.
Nimrod was white, almost iridescent. His shading was pink because of the energy. Wizkids got his figure wrong on the paint job. But that's okay on his clix piece because it prompted me to paint this:
It was a great idea to start the introduce yourself mafia thread. I like reading all you guys bios. I have alot more in common with a lot of you than I thought.

Nimrod also played a huge role in the conclusion of the Kulan Gath saga. I mean, that was a story about all the heroes in New York fighting a flipping Conan villain after he turned the city into his own personal D&D campaign. If you don't think that is amazing, I will fight you with knives.

Yes, that was Nimrod's first appearance. He appeared and killed the thief who started the whole Kulan Gath mess. And I loved the Kulan Gath story.

I remember reading that story as a little kid, Kulan Gath had me scared out of my mind. Seeing Spider-Man getting crucified like that and still keep fighting left a very strong mark on my adolescent self.
If you let them kill your dreams, it'll haunt you.
