Ok, maybe the direct approach. Using 1st world and 3rd world even in jest offends me. And I know people who feel the same when some uses the word gay or the word retarded in a derogatory fashion. I know it's not exactly the same, but I don't care. I guess trying to explain that it was offensive was the wrong way to go. I should have just said it and been done.

Was just responding to someone dismissing what I said (IE hipster clause). Didn't flame anyone or get irrational or all fired up, just said how that saying annoyed me.

That said I've only ever been fired up once here, and it had nothing to do with what anyone said. I drop something long before I feel the need for attacks or namecalling, not just here but in life because when you get that far there's really no point. I enjoy an intelligent back and forth about a subject people disagree on, its fun and works your brain muscle.

TBH I am a little annoyed at the pandering and it kinda feels like you're attempting to devalue my opinion by saying I'm irrational. Especially when I have no vitriol for Thawmus, and kinda like the guy (When he's not saying 1st world problems of course). (Checks pulse) nope, still normal though so I must be over it.
