I refuse to watch a movie on cable TV if I haven't seen it before, even if it's a movie I'd like to see, because movies on cable TV are generally edited/censored pretty heavily and I think it makes them lose some of their charm.

Do you have IFC? They show movies uncensored, so you get all the swear words and nudity and violence. It's my favorite station to watch movies on.

I do, and I end up watching quite a few movies there because I know it's one of the channels that's cool about that stuff. But, for example, TBS, TNT, even Comedy Central can really kill the vibe with how much they censor movies. And if it's a movie I've already seen, I'll sometimes watch it on a channel like that and laugh/cringe at how unnecessarily edited it is.

I love the hilarious edits to remove "naughty" words.
Among my favorites:
"motivator, please!" in the 2nd resident evil movie, rather than "mother####er, please!"

"You're my own personal juvenile delinquent" in the Matrix, instead of "you're my own personal Jesus Christ." I find that one particularly hilarious, since it's so unnecessary to begin with.
