Ha ha ha these milestones has me thinking that I should champ my 4*s. But I'm not. I would feel better champing my 4*s if I had a single cover for each 5*. I just need 8 more 5*s plus MAgneto who I hope to pull on Monday. I guess time will tell to see how patient I will be.

So the legacy milestones took my by surprise, or I'd have kept notes. Long and short of it ... I'm thrilled, I had some huge windfalls.

I started clicking on the claims and when I saw I got 5* Shards for my favorite, I monitored to make sure I didn't go beyond my needed amount by any more than necessary. Then I swapped to my next target. And next, and next. Right now, I am at....

Daken is at 8 covers and 2500 shards. Heimdel is at 5 covers and 1800 shards (so he needs 5 more covers). Deadpool is at 5 covers and 900 shards (so he needs 7 more covers). 3 other 5* toons (Surfer, Gambit, and Black Bolt) were at 12 covers (or shard equivalents) and I sharded them to 13 covers.

In 4* land, the only toons not champed were Red G and Scorpion. The latter is still new and I got the measly 3-cover Reg G all the shards he needed to get champed.

So I'm currently in hoarding mode. I won't be redeeming anything that gets me 4* Shards until Scorpion enters tokens (I estimate 4 weeks from now). I won't be redeeming any legendary tokens until Daken moves out (I estimate 2 weeks from now).

I'm hoping that LT pulls alone might keep my 5* roster alive and that for a time I can do what Harpua suggests and dedicate my CP to classic tokens. I need 27 covers from there across 7 toons to get all legacy 5*s champed. (Though all but 2 currently have feeders, so those would help and I might consider burning some 4* shards to move those along if it makes sense)

I now have 5 toons sitting at 300 and each need about 360K to champion. That's 1.8 million ISO and I'm sitting on only 1.2 million. Kind of weird to be a millionaire and yet feel poor. First world problems, I know.

Overall, the Quests addition is a net positive for me. It gives me new things to do, new things to focus on, revitalizes my interest in aspects of the game that had waned, and rewards me decently as it goes.

Isn't MAgneto going into LLs this week? That would push out the next toon. Is Daken or Heimdall the first to go? If Daken then you only need to wait hours. If it's Heimdall wouldn't you have to wait 4 weeks for Daken to be removed?

I don't really know the schedule. What I know is that on Monday, Red G went into tokens and Mag5 released 2 weeks after Red G, so my guesstimate is he goes into tokens in about 2 weeks. Which, because I'm thinking in weeks and we're already past the weekend, that might be down to 1 week.

Which means ... not a lot of time to horde. So that may be less than ideal. It also means that I'll be earning 4* Shards (opening LTs) with no 4* toon needing champing (that isn't New). So... open question - what criteria would folks use for which toon to favorite?

Pretty sure Mags goes in today.

I no longer even bother favoriting the new ones just to get them champed. If it is a character that I will use, then yes, I will do it, but otherwise I will just let nature take its course because there is no longer a need to rush without needing that minimum level.

I just favorite whoever I am going to use a bunch. That had been Juggy for a while, but when he hit 350 I switched. Currently I am on Polaris. When she hits 350 I will probably switch from her. But yeah, just whoever sees use. After Polaris, probably back to America.

My strategy is probably way different than what you are looking for. If I were you I would just see who is the closest to the multiples of 10 to get the LLs or shards for the 5*s.

For the shardening I favorited Juggy. He was at 4 saved covers. I got him to just shy of 11 saved covers. From there I went to Red Guardian, I have the fewest covers for him and I would imagine that he will be a required sooner rather than later. I did not go for getting shards for a specific under covered toon because that was going to be tedious. Apparently I have 41 4*s that are not at 13 covers. For the most part the newest ones get to 13 rather quickly after rewards.

I do have a number of these toons that have up to 3 covers in shards saved up but they are still below 13 covers.

Ok, I did my spree.
It was an absolutely terrible run.

Began with....
LL: 161
CP: 3349 (294 pulls)
ISO: 10,499,422
HP: 32,965
Heimdall - 3/0/1 with 1175 shards
Deadpool - 1/2/0 with 1075 shards
Mags - 1/0/0 with 415 shards

The plan was to go until Heimdall could be champed.
By the odds, with needing essentially 7 covers, figuring a Heimdall every 21 pulls...could have been done in 147 pulls if the RNG gods were smiling.

They were not.

It took 285 pulls to finish him.
I only got 29 5* covers in that run.
In the end, my guys look like:
Heimdall 5/4/4, level 452 (champed)
Deadpool: 5/4/4, level 450 (champed)
Mags: 5/5/2, level 435 + 2 saved covers.

The good news is that Mags is only 85 shards from a cover, so he will get champed without any more pulling the next time he is featured.

Biggest drought, I think was 41 4* pulls between 5*, but there were several runs over 20.

Four bonus 4* and one 5*, all for 50.

I began with Kitty, Hawkeye, and Marvel as my 5* faves as they were within 10 of 500. After that I went back to Okoye....until I felt the need to switch to Heimdall. In the end I did need to do that, too. He began with 2 covers and change worth of shards, and I needed to earn the shards for that third in order to get him to 13....and that was with him getting that bonus 50.

In the end, I was down to under ten pulls left.

After cashing everything in, I am back up to 23 LLs and 1056 CP, so 65 pulls. (I figure that I should not have to crack LLs now until everyone in there is gone, so maybe 18 weeks....hopefully.)

Bright sides....
Polaris went from level 327 to 342
Okoye went from 474 to 477, putting her 15 over Thor and 25 over Immortal Hulk*
Champ reward shards got me levels on 7 5*s, plus one level from milestones I tossed to Apocalypse.
+8k hp
Grocket got maxed.

FWP down side...I pulled several covers for maxed 4*s who had yet to be rerostered, so a good chunk of the HP gained will be going to those.

All in all, it was a lousy run, but I figure that I have had some pretty amazing runs lately. I was due for a slump.

* The three level jump was from milestone shards. It could have been four, but the last one, for 500 5* shards, I sent to Apocalypse. Similarly, I got a huge chunk of shards for Polaris this way.

Yeah, I think I opened about 20 this morning, got 5 5*s. 3 Ghostpools (2 red, 1 blue), 1 Magneto red, and 1 Heimdall... yellow, I think.

Was pretty happy with that, and the Milestones I got earlier. And finishing third in the Galactus event. Rar.

Just a basic run down...

Started with 65 LLs and Spent 27 LLs. Got my 5*s in pulls # 5, 11, 20, 25, and 27.
1 Deadpool, 1 MAgs, and 3 Heimdall.
400x bonus shards for Red Guardian, which was nice.

I have no idea why but Karolina Dean is always one of the first 4*s I open whenever I pull from CLs or LLs and even Mighties. Pretty soon her saved covers will surpass my useful toons.

I think after this opening I am down to 39 4* toons that are not at 13 covers. Closing in on that gap.

I had 20 tokens, a Heimdal that was 2/2/3, and a dedication not to use my CP.

My hopes were NOT high.

I pulled FOUR Heimdals out of the above AND a red Deadpool. One in freacking FOUR tokens came back with a 5*. Heimdal was at about 700 shards, so with some milestone redemptions, he bumped up to just over 1,000, and he's now my fifth 5* with 13 covers awaiting champing.

I'm at about 1.3 million ISO and I park my 13-cover guys at level 300. I'll champ them eventually, but now that I've got my 5*s organized by level, I find myself emminently patient

Can explain more the logic behind not champing your ones who are ready? I would totally get it if you had not crossed over to 5* land already, but when you already have other champs, why not champ them as you get them?

I suppose with 1.3 million you might not be able to get them all, but Heimdall is coming up in PVE. Wouldn’t it make sense to go ahead and bump him up to make the next event that much easier?

Oh, I wanted to mention that I was expecting improvements after all of the Okoye and Polaris building I did yesterday, but wow.
I never cared much that Okoye was not enough higher than Thor to get red. I mean, it is just one color. She still had the rest. Right? Man, it really opens thing up having that one more color on her.
Similarly, she picked up another color on Immortal Hulk and that made the Iceman PvP a breeze to hit 1000.

And Polaris, well, I don’t think I need to explain how she just gets better and better.

That was a nice touch for D3 in Johnny Storm's Fireside Chat to give the option to ether battle Cloak and Dagger or win by obtaining 18 black. I don't know about you guys but I went with 18 black.

Why do you want Okoye to be higher than Thor. I never figured out the strategy beyond having Thor at 50% or below so he does passive damage.
