I don't know squid, it'll be a relief not having to worry about Ring and Mirror Force for a while. Fiend Beatdown got a big leg-up from this, believe me ^^
Oh, yeah, I fixed up my deck for this list, if anyone's interested it's somewhere near the top of Deck Depot...
Yeah, removing Mirror Force will definitely help the fiendish swarm off a Cyber Jar or RFDD, but I finally got a copy of Ring and it was intended to go in my Giant Kozaky deck, but alas, I'll have to wait. The Giant Kozaky OTK could only be shadowed by the Giant Kozaky tirbute for Great Maju Garzett, Ring, Barrel, Game 8^D And believe you me, I've gotten the 5K Great Maju out more than I though I would in my inital playtesting with the deck 8^D
Well, I've been without internet for about a week now and it's torture.
I'm typing this message from a laptop I was loaned for a few minutes and it has HORRIBLE connections.
So I'll be brief:
Ban/Restricted List:
UGH! Soldier is gone, but so is my beloved Night Assailant, Serpent and Graceful. I knew this list was going to try to slow down Dark Realm decks. With Soldier AND Dragon both gone, Chaos Decks are finally dead. (Ce....lebrate good times...COME ON!), although, I was hoping for Dragon's return, simply to have a challenge to battle the Fiends. I mean, who is going to challenge us for the throne?
Warriors:
Warriors? Please. The addition of a third Marauding Captain just means Possessed Dark Soul is BRUTAL against Warrior Decks. With Dark Hole's return, I predict Swarminh and over extending to put a lot of monsters on the field will be their downfall. Deck Devastation Virus and Mind Crush will be great and near broken with the return of Confistation. The only problem I see Warriors posing is that Amazoness Searcher from the Warrior Structure Deck. It'll be able to search and special summon Millenium Shield in defense position for a nice stall, so pack those Smashing Grounds and Bark of Dark Rulers.
Zombies:
Zombies? PLEASE! V-Lords are nothing with Goblin Elite, Giant Orc and Jeroid and all our other Fiend pimpness. Again, PDS will shine against this deck. Both because the Soul Absorbing Bone Towers and, with the help of Demotion, THREE V-Lords to steal. Maybe some Reapers too.
Dark Realm Decks:
Dominant in every sense of the word. Deck Devastation Virus! Card Destruction! Swarm! Hand advantage with Card of Safe Return, Field Control, Hand Control, Beatdown
....EVERYTHING! Expect this deck to hit the US Shores viciously, and if it DOESN'T, expect it to surprise you on a random basis.
Ummm...that's it. I'm going to stop typing now and click on "Post Quick Reply" in hopes that this piece of garbage actually connects and posts it.
Here's until Thursday, when I expect my 'puter to come back to my arms.
I still miss all yous guys. PEACE!

We might as well have our our section in YGORealms!
Confiscation and Mind Crush. Thank you. The card's name was killing me. I couldnt remember it. Confiscation will be a big asset and problem in many decks. Didn't they reprint that in DB1 as well? Im telling you, I will have to see what I can do about making fiends fit into my Mind on Air deck design. (I love that card. Itlooks like Necrofear's lil sister)
Waldo- you forgot Machines losing their best support (quite possibly the best single-card support in the game)
A recent thread actually reminded me about how insanely irritating Spear Cretin was back when MRL first came out, and they provide for the same kind of bizzare but workable field cotnrol that night assailant provided for hands in a similar fashion. My question is, then, Will this make Dark Mimic abuse the new udnerdog of advantage abuse?
I'm not too sure about the Mimics, sure you get an extra draw with them, but they're wimps ultimately that you can keep a round or two. Sure you'll get a little extra draw power out of them, but I don't think it will be that helpful. But to think of it, this guy might help in my Left Eye deck (RFP) when I can Soul Release their lot of monsters and Spear Cretin my buff guy back, or some potential Terrorking Revival.
God I can't believe how blind I am! I was just looking through my common effect monsters - trying to dig out a Giant Orc - when I saw this:
Flash Assailant
Attrib: Dark
Type: Fiend/Effect
Level:4
Atk: 2000
Def: 2000
Decrease the ATK and DEF of this card by 400 points for every card in your hand.
And then it hit me like lightning: this card was just made for Dark Realm decks!
I am SO using this!
(Sorry if waldo or somebody already posted something like this, I did a search and didn't find anything)
Hehe, not yet dragon-reborn! That will make for some awesome work with the hands! And if you hadn is full without the Dark Realmers, then put in a Serial Spell and be set!
All the old fiends are coming out of the woodwork now. May the universe fear what we've always known.... 8^D
This is drastic enough for my taste. I'm psyched for the new list.
Doesn't effect my fiends too much. Gives them more of a helping hand now that Scapegoat and Ring are limited. Serpent stings and the limiting of Book of Moon isn't the best news.
With the impending swarm of Warrior and Zombie decks, I'll probably switch to more of a removal theme. Maybe test out Needle Ceiling, becuase it's nothing new for both of those decks to have 4 monsters on the field at anytime. And that's not including what you've got.
Expect to see more Compulsory Evacuation Devices, Enemy Controllers, etc... Time Seals and Drop Off could rear their ugly heads again.
I was thinking of putting Jowls of Dark Demise and Newdoria against these Zombie and Warrior swarmers. At least until I can match fire with Dark Realm fire. I like Jowls better than Brain Jacker cause I dont have to provide the same stall defence to keep it alive.
And of course Lava Golem will be a major sideboard card, if not actually in the maindeck of many Fienders. Why waste a Lightning Vortex on multiple Vampire Lord cards when you can tribute 2 away with Lava Golem? Same with those wieners who pull the Captain lock.
Just a quick question: I noticed in testing today that my new Fiend deck tends to get smacked around a bit by Tribe, so I'd like to add a non-Fiend Tribute Monster to pick up the slack.
Which one do you guys think would be better for Fiend beatdown: Jinzo or Vampire Lord?
At the moment I'm leaning towards V. Lord for the recursion, but I can't seem to get a Royal Decree anywhere so Jinzo could prove useful. But V. Lord also works with DDV... Oh, the choices!
PS: Jowels is sweet. I'm gonna run one until Cyber Revs comes out here and I can get a Cyber Archfiend ^^
Same with those wieners who pull the Captain lock.
Lol!! Squid, I find your liberal use of the term "wieners" here very amusing.
Dragon-Reborn, if I might make a suggestion, I would recommend Jinzo over Vampire Lord. Jinzo, to me, is a more offensive card, allowing your monsters to attack unimpeded by traps. Vamp Lord's recursion is more of a safety valve than anything. I would much rather be staring down my opponent's Vamp Lord than Jinzo in most instances. If you still have trouble deciding, you can always main deck one and side deck the other.
Another one trib to consider is Dark Dust Spirit. Counter them blowing up the field with Tribe with your own field clearing monster. He's also DDV food, and quite an underrated card in my opinion.
I really don't understand Konami. They obviously want to make Zombies powerful, but they've only made 3-4 playable Zombies. If I were to recreate my Zombie deck, I don't think I would use more than two anyway. Once you get one onto the field, your oppenent should struggle to get rid of it and when they do get rid of it, chances are they will have the ability to remove another one with ease. I definately don't like to see more than 1 Vampire Lord on my field.
The restriction of Metamorphosis kills me. I loved that card. I'm surprised it took this long for everyone else to discover its power.
The restriction of Limiter Removal is obvious. Cyber Dragon? Cyber End Dragon? We would have another OTK into the mix.
Book of Moon!?! Restricted to one!! Ugh! *sets Konami's buildings on fire* *rescues Hideo Kojima* Why would ever restrict this card? It's wayyy too awesome to be restricted. It even gives a net advantage of (-1)!!! UGHH!!! How is this broken in threes??!
Other than the BoM restriction, I am overall very pleased with this ban/restricted list.
Yeah, DDS is a nasty beast indeed. I would recommend Jinzo too. Somebody mentioned the other day in another forum about having Jinzo and Necrofear on the field at the same time. I shuddered in pure delight. I'm almost tempted to try it myself. 8^D
