Saving the brand is a possible solution, and one I am a fan of, but it is something that we'll really need to see how adamant people are as the days roll on.
For one, we do not know the dollar figure needed to buy the brand, and what further capital would be needed to have the production lines moving again. I hope this is something that Jake can make happen, and I would be on board for doing what I can in terms of assistance, but with the economy being where it is I doubt many of us have spare sacks of cash just lying around.
It's easy to have every want to rally the troops when the news is still fresh in your mind, but the real question is where everything will be 6 months from now. Will these forums be so lively? Or will this fall by the wayside like many other dead games before it?
Again, I hope that we do have a way for Heroclix to live on as I have enjoyed this game since Hypertime rolled out. I've met quite a few fellow players and have had a great time with every new set. But, I'm also realistic.

Some achieve greatness
And some have greatness thrust upon them

Well, like I said, I've spent too much on this game to just up and quit. I'm here for the long haul.
Longest-Reigning Drunken HeroClix Champion - anyone got a liver?
I may not have played the game, (haven't got the right DC team to play)
but the thing is, it's unique with its strategies and great sculpts and concepts, and I don't want to start playing when the game is officialy dead.
I' love the game and don't want to see it go right now, (maby two years or so) but with 2009 having Hammer of Thor, Brave and the Bold, Marvel 70's Classics, NGN Wolverine (regular costume) I was looking forward to it all and all things to come. Please, It's Not Your Time to go heroclix, we can save you.
YES, WE CAN SAVE HEROCLIX!
Any other Flash would play along with you Rogues, Spar with you as if it were a game. Thats the way its always been done, No more. —The Dark Flash

And I truly hope that the majority of the 'yes we can' crowd feels the same as you do. If I had the ability to invest, I would. I do hope we learn an actual dollar figure soon as I wouldn't mind seeing a thermometer style graph to see how much we have raised. It would be kitchy and fun.
Bake sale anyone?
