How many attacks did I make last time I played against Starro? Oh yeah. One. It did one damage, then he Mind Controlled me into walking back to my starting area over and over and over and over and over and then I lost. IT WAS SO MUCH FUN YOU GUYS.
This following a game where Starro Mind Controlled a team into walking into the open air on the Avengers roof map over and over and over. Woooo balance.
Yeah. Great. I'm sure everybody there was having a great time.
I was playing E2 Superman for crying out loud. The only other thing I probably could have played that would have stood a chance (and been legal for that event) would have been a Starro.
Like I said, though - He showed up that one time and those of us who own him have never pulled him out again (in a tournament). I have played mine at home.
Street Fighter did not become legal because of sales.
It became legal because I, and my Gripe-O-Minions, beefed about it in enough threads.
TRUE STORY
If you want LotR to be legal, you will need to officially petition since we don't care that much about it at this point.
My venue owner wants to know, so he can make an informed purchase. He doesn't allow house rules for any of his organized events. So by that we could only use the LotR pieces 2 weeks out of the month. It is a bit of a catch 22 situation, since if they were allowed to be played more, he would surely sell more, which would drive their popularity and increase the chance that they would be allowed in Modern Age. But they have to sell well first, but he doesn't want to buy in at large quantities since people might not be able to play them as often as they'd like. See the conundrum here?
But thanks, I wanted to be sure to have my facts straight in order to give him the low down.
But here in the middle of all that we are limited on our fast food choices. We have McDonalds, Burger King, Arbys, Rallys, Fazollis, Wendys, Hardees, Dairy Queen, Grandys, Long John Silvers and Subway. Plus a few of the bigger Pizza chains.
Bolded are ones I'd never heard of.
Checking, I see that Rally's has three locations in Philadelphia, though they appear to go by Checkers in this region. Never been in one under either name.
The nearest Fazoli's is over 200 miles away, no locations in Pennsylvania, so that explains that being an unknown to me.
Grandy's is even more remote, with the nearest being in Indiana or Kentucky.

Dude, if you told him about me and my Gripe-O-Minions and he actually bought the story, that'd be SO sweet.
That does it. I want a banner for my group on HCRealms.
Yeah, I know they claim to not be doing it anymore, but we'll just gripe until we get one.
VERY much agree. I lose to a very good opponent on a regular basis. In fact I am planning on such a loss this evening.
Playing against the 9-year old again? That kid was pretty darn good at GenCon. I forgot the nickname you guys have for the kid, but it was well deserved.
