Re: Thors. To me Thor is Marvel's Superman. Common agreement is that Superman is deadlier; fine. I still want a heavy hitting Thunder God. He should have rs, an 18 dv, 5 damage and 11 av to start; never below 3 and willpower or indomitable. Bonus sps or tas would be gravy....Avengers movie has a couple decent Thors, Chaos War has a good one and the 120 point 10th anniversary is great. But NONE rank as a go-to Thor. I still think it's the HoT common for me.
Onto the game...
Dark Phoenix will hss to M8 going for the Pets & Hulk. Gets 4. Argh...she ends where she began.
GA to break? 4. RS to M6 attacking the Pets. Needs 7, rolls 8 ( 2 4s). SS is 3. 1 to them.
Bach to E17.
Morgan to regen: 3, she's up 1.
Beethoven to M10.
Well Shade's gonna try his luck at Hulk. Has to make his damage 3. Needs 8, rolls 9. Imperv is 1. 1 to Hulk.
Witch rolls for Chaos magic: 4, cancels out Odin's damage powers which are near useless to you in this case.

"I am done toying with you," Odin said. "I have more important things to do than fight a couple of mortals." He aimed his spear at the Scarlet Witch and a beam of divine energy shot forth from it.
"Wanda!" Wonder Man cried out and threw himself in front of the beam.
"Simon!" Wanda cried out.
"Ow," Simon said.
"Ow? You take the brunt of my power and all you say is 'ow'?" Odin asked.
"If you had any idea how much it takes to make me say 'ow' you wouldn't be saying that."
You were on the ball last night. Replied to my turn before I could even get my story-post in. But I got distracted in between, so my fault I guess.
Also, re Flash's Damage, I had him at 1, which I think is a mistake - that was Mystics damage from his last attack on Morgan, but she had no Mystics to copy (I keep thinking the new Deadman's a Mystics when he isn't). So the 1 he's at now represents Morgan's Poison.
Hulk's hurt me more than he's hurt you.
For what's going to probably my second to last replacement, I'll take Lex Luthor, 10th Anniversary Battlesuit one. Plug the Society on him.
Marvel Girl TKs him to A16
Lex uses Boom Tube Sneak Attack to essentially RS to B12. Copying Hulk's Avengers Initiative, he targets the now visible Morgan. AV11 on DV17. Gets 9. Bully for me. 4 to her and that's a KO.
Gonna push Storm on the Space Phantom. Shape Change is 1. AV10 on DV15. Rolls a 4. Grrr.
Lex Outwits Deadman's Super Senses.
Hulk to break from the Phantom? Gets 5. Good. I would have been cross if I had to waste his attack on him. Charges to H13 on Deadman, AV11 on DV17. Gets 8. Deadman's KOd with 5 damage.
Flash will just move to F8 to block Morgan's replacement.
Lockjaw Phases out, tries to move and attack GA, AV9 -2 on DV17. Gets 8, nice, but not enough. Wasn't really expecting it though. Ends in H/I12, blocking Deadman's replacement.
Sentinel SR to H11, targets GA. AV9 on DV17 +1. Gets 7. I'll pass on the attack and pull Green Arrow into a duel instead.
Sentinel and Ollie are on the docks. I roll a 4, so 2 squares away. Since I passed on his last move, he gets another shot, this time without the hindering bonus, so AV9 on DV17. Gets the 8, so 3 to Green Arrow.
'Magic. Bah!" Lex Luthor scoffed. "Magic is nothing compared to science." He blasted Morgan le Fay off the roof with his battlesuit.
"Stupid ghost man messing with Hulk's head. Hulk hates that. Hulk hates stupid ghost man." the Hulk said, charging back at Deadman.
"I still don't know what you think you're going to be able to do against someone you can't hit, Greenie," Deadman said.
"Hm, if this Hulk is trying to attack something that's intangeable, he may need my help," Luthor said, hitting the Hulk with a beam that sent the monster out of phase for a few seconds, long enough for him to connect with Deadman, and one punch was all he needed.
"Mutant signature, readings exceed charts. Must destroy," the Sentinel said, going to seek Phoenix, but before he could, he was pulled into one of the duels. "Squark! Teleportation of this unit. Scanning. No mutants in this vicinity. One human with primitive weapon. Threat level minimal, but present. Proposed course of action: elimination."
"Feet don't fail me now!" Green Arrow said trying to run for cover, but the Sentinel shot a heat seeking missile after him. It blew Green Arrow off his feet.
I'm pushing Wonder Witch. Needs 7 twice, gets 7 and 10. That's 3 to Odin; 1 to Wonder Witch. They have Chaos Magic back and roll 6. Good turn. They counter his ta. Although it doesn't describe it as such IF Odin's dial makes him stop at Odinsleep then I'll counter that.
Arrow vs. Sentinel. Needs 8, rolls 2. Ouch, he's out.
I'll draft the Vision. He'll sit and wait in M3, protected.

Last replacement for me, and I've only got a few points left. A SHIELD Commando. I'll put the Strategic Homeland Intervention...SHIELD ATA on him.
Marvel Girl TKs him to L16.
Can he attack the Space Phantom (Bach)? SC is 3. AV9 on DV15. Gets 9. Constantine's behind the tractor, so no help from him. SS is 3. One more pesky Space Phantom gone.
Can Hulk break from Nikki? Gets 5. Charges to G11. Can he attack Shade? SC is 5. Egghead then. AV11 on DV16. Gets 7. That's a KO.
Phoenix hss to K11 dual targeting Hulk & Flash. Rolls 9. Imperv is 1. You know I'm giving it to Hulk. Jean ends in N8.
Vision on Flash. Needs 5, rolls 7. Hmmmmm.....you know what, I'll pass on the damage and pull Lex Luthor into a duel. Probably the last chance to do so.
Seems like neither of us have played Ares yet. I suppose he's not uber-impressive but I'll do it as my last draw. Avengers Heroic age on him. He's rs to H7 attacking Hulk and Flash. Rolls 6. 2 to him after invulnerable.
Still can't believe Wonder Witch is lasting as long as they are against Odin. I mean both of us have gotten iffy rolls here. For now Wanda passes but rolls for Chaos Magic: 4, no attack powers for Odin. Like that matters.
I can't access new maps here so I can't show the fight map in the Vision/Luthor duel but I suppose it doesn't matter. Distance is 1 so they're adjacent. To start can Vision outwit Luthor's imperv? Society roll is 4, so yes and he will. Needs 7 to hit LL, gets 5.
It's up to you here but I'd say we can end this one or maybe give this one a final turn as they are no more drafts.

We can end it. With no one else to bring in, I've got no one that can stand up to Phoenix. Hulk's taken a beating. He won't be able to catch her to hit her, or do enough damage to her to matter, even if he does catch her. Odin's lost. Best case scenario, he gets one more hit on your duo, before going out from the Mystics damage. Worst case you just KO him. By the time Luthor gets back from his duel, even if he KOs Vision and takes no damage, it'll be too late.
I think we did accomplish what we set out to do with this one though. Take all the disparate small sets that were being released this year and get the figures a chance to be featured a little and played with before they’re lost in the massive backlist of figures. We didn’t cover everyone. I think we still barely touched the Batman movie set. Except Ducard. He was pretty decent. And I’m sure we can find some figures from all the sets that we overlooked. We could have kept going with this for probably another 2000-2500, but I think we’d be starting to feel a little limited in our choices going forward.
We should keep this in mind if we end up getting overwhelmed by mini-sets again in a year or so, but it sounds like the next several releases will be more straightforward. The Batman/Streets of Gotham double set is covered. After that we’ve got Spider-Man, Teen Titans, and Wolverine & the X-Men which all sound like they’re going to be full sets too. There’s rumors of an Iron Man movie counter-top set next summer, but we’ll see what’s up with that when we get closer. I don’t feel like we need any more Iron Men right now, but if they’re doing all three movies, a redone Iron Monger and Mandarin are both due, and maybe we’ll finally get a Whiplash (though they won’t call him that.)
