in all honesty, rarely was strategy discussed on this thread. the first few pages are just folks congratulating themselves on the fact that there is a DC thread and how astonishingly popular it is. then some people mention tazia and her uberness w/ kbow and some people talked about how kossak it teh roxors. aside from that, it's a bunch of complaining and my common sense.

since people wanna know about strategy w/ DC figs, I used my Bloody Amara for the 1st time Monday...used her in a large 1500 point game where she was wielding the BoL and another fig had the Stone of Scrying so she could hit those sneaky folks who like to hide in Stealth or with Ghostform... and since she has Life Drain, she heals herself up after a couple of misses while shooting folks from soaring....

nice. i got stone of scrying too and thats the first thing i thought of, BOL. killer combo!

The only damage she took for the whole game came from the few times she missed (stupid, stupid people w/ Dodge!)...
of course, if I had been taking on some :mi: folks this wouldnt have been so successful....

another idea, if you're playing that large of an army, would be to have someone there to cast archer's aim for the times you're targeting figures with dodge.

and yes, :mi: could have given you a headache. however, there would still be plenty of targets left over.

as for usingher energy drain, it's good, but a * solo shade can mind tap her leadership to keep her going, and she'll be able to counterspell on half the rounds.


on a side note: hatter, this is in the battle plans forum, the title doesn't need to state that it's a strategy thread, if it's not for strategies, it should get moved.

Totally agree. I had great success using him with a simple cloak of shadow and Solonavi Soulbinder. The multi-vampirism/sweep into the heart of battle keep him easily healthy even if I took some damage often. Thanks to is invulnerability/toughness and push friendly OoV, its pretty hard to keep up with is rythme to take him down.

Ok guys. Faction war coming up. What are you playing?

I believe it is 200 pts of your faction or something like that, and then you build another 200pts from sealed boosters. Something like that. Anyways...yeah...uniques to bring? Certain spells? I'm hoping to stay completely faction pure except maybe using some Mage Spawn.

I figure some of those Moonborn Sorceresses with Summon would be useful if I pull a lot of Mage Spawn. Maybe a Tazia or Blackguard with K-Bow...I'll have to think more on this...

was a really good time this year....will have to thank fat-ninja for running the event
