Wow, that's a sad thing to hear from one of the greatest minds ever involved in Vs.

Either Frankie or Phantom Stranger need to be banned/errata'd.

Their are consistant turn 4 combo's with them:

*Devil's Due + Captain Boomerang, Digger (2)
*Hala + Surronded
*Turn 4 Nega Bomb

Plus in any other deck it makes the build phase take to long, and can make to big of a splash in almost any deck.

Don't take Stranger away from my Tier 3 JSA deck, please!

frankie ray is awsome, but i personaly feel that she should not be banned but mearly errat'd so you have to discard a Heralds of Galactus card with cost 4 or more, at least then it stops this crap going on with TPS and makes them atleast work for the extra cards. Phantom Stranger can stay how it is, without frankie to abuse with it wont mater.

Seriously - we did NOT need an announcement from Scott G to know that they were looking into whether Frankie legitimately deserves to be banned.

I promise you, they ARE paying attention. Add the UDE people to your buddy list, and on the front page you'll see when they're online. They are quite frequently browsing these (and I'm sure, other) forums.

Finally - card floppers (especially those that are very dedicated to a particular game) are a panicky, nervous group. The tendency is to go chicken-little on every little announcement, or lack thereof. UDE knows this, and therefore they make sure they know what they're talking about when they make a decision.

As for the announcement, I want to hear Humphreys' stand. A lot of people have been calling for a lot of reworkings to the ban list, not just this one. I want to hear what UDE's actually going to do before pulling a Chicken Little.

Uly is Alex Brown, best known for his excellent limited play VS articles.

Posted this in another thread but is worth repeating here. The ultimate solution in my opinion is to erratra her to when cards are drawn remove her from the game.

What is it about "UDE doesn't make eratta that significantly changes the way the card plays in 99% of cases" that nobody seems to understand? Oh yeah, let's just eratta Frankie Raye to be a 8/8 5-drop that says "Activate -> Remove target stunned character from the game". Sure, why not, it's just eratta. *sigh*
