This is just friggin’ fascinating. Trying to figure out how it is strung. The white strings appear somewhat similar to piano black key groupings (2,3) with only one green or red between each group. From what I read, the keys are tuned to a standard major key, but I can’t begin to wrap my head around that. I assume her right hand bends the keys to achieve sharps, flats, maybe whole steps or more. Any way, really fun to watch and hear.
Cool to see this ancient instrument also combined with (I assume) modern technology.
Oh!!! This is twice this week that I have felt stupid. Could be wrong, but believe the green strings are C, the red strings are F, with the white ones being the scale notes (DE-GAB) between them. The more bass strings are at the top, ascending towards the player. Of course, the base green strings could actually be any key. So sharps (half steps) would be achieved by bending with the right hand. It actually might be fun to try to learn Twinkle Twinkle Little Star on whatever that thing is called.
Speaking of unique guitar sounds, does anyone else have guitarwork as emotive as The Cure? Something about their particular sound just goes right into my feels.

If folks know more bands in this kind of emotional milieu, I'm all ears.
I believe you or I had nominated Pictures of You for the Breakup songs Rock Wars. The guitar on these songs is simple and scintillating. Evocative mellowness that's not over played. My wife and I had just met when Disintegration came out, and we would chill, lay back, smoke a wee bit and drink and wear out the grooves in the vinyl. Skullbro, you rock as always. The guitar work is like listening to the Beatles Something where you just dissolve into the sound and it's all peacefuland beautiful.

Don't know if this is what you guys are thinking, but I sometimes go to sleep listening to:
Is that Buckethead, the guy who was in Guns N Roses for a little while?
It is. Last I heard he had made over 400 albums, all styles. He rarely repeats music, even within each song. Slash is uniquely talented, of course, but you have to have something to stand in for Slash, even for a little while.
Ozzy Osborne asked him to play in his band, but changed his mind after meeting him. From an interview Ozzy said:
"I tried out that Buckethead guy. I met with him and asked him to work with me, but only if he got rid of the f bucket. So I came back a bit later, and he's wearing this green f Martian's-hat thing! I said, 'Look, just be yourself.' He told me his name was Brian, so I said that's what I'd call him. He says, 'No one calls me Brian except my mother.' So I said, 'Pretend I'm your mum, then!' I haven't even got out of the room and I'm already playing f mind games with the guy. What happens if one day he's gone and there's a note saying, 'I've been beamed up'? Don't get me wrong, he's a great player. He plays like a mfer."[36]
Ozzy Osbourne, Revolver.
Just an aside for anybody who cares. I guarantee you that if you want to be Facebook friends with Bill Lordan he will have no problem accepting. He's a humble man who can't drum anymore because of arthritis. Being Facebook friends with me won't hurt your case. His username is Billdianalordan because he's fully in love with his wife. He's totally a good man.
I want these clixed: Doc Savage, Fu Manchu, Tarzan, The Shadow, The Green Hornet & Kato, Conan, Solomon Kane, The Phantom, King Kong, Universal Monsters, Black Orchid, Manhunter (Paul Kirk), Xemnu the Titan, unclixed Kirby Fourth World characters, and Lilith, Daughter Of Dracula.
I'm like "the Dude," just not a fan of the Eagles. But this was f-ing excellent. It was played brilliantly. Nice arrangement.
That role created heat for Jeff Bridges with Glen Frey. Jeff Bridges was at party where Glen Frey also attended and Frey just glowered at Bridges all the time. Bridges was like "Dude, I was just acting".

Love Lovesong. Apparently, Robert Smith was the inspiration for Edward Scissorhands.

That's a lot of albums. What's he trying to do? Outpace Sun Ra?

And for the heck of it, an offbeat song that I was hearing on the music feed at my work a few years ago. I wonder what made Tim Curry do it with that accent. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kXPCsaO_55o

I just learned of BABYMETAL a couple of years ago, but never got into their music until the album they released a few months ago. Never hated them, but the gap between their absolutely fantastic metal band and their Kawai singing style was sometimes a little too much. They were about 13-15 years old back then; now they are in their early 20's and I really appreciate their newer music.
For perspective, they have performed in front of several audiences of 20,000 to 30,000 people. They performed in front of a staggering 90,000 people at the prestigious Reading and Leeds Festival in August 2015.
Somehow I missed their song Headbanger!! from ten years ago. I happened to see a more recent video of them doing it live and thought it a new song. Most insane crowd reaction ever with mosh pits, crowd bowing, great singing, ridiculous moving platform stage, and evidently the promotion of MoMetal by SuMetal to a lead singing role. Turns out the song is actually one of their earliest. For me this is the best BABYMETAL performance they have.
