yes, again...so she had been making a lot of weird small talk lately, like the day after thanksgiving asking me if I like steak o.O well today she asked me if I saw the movie Due Date, which I had...then she proceeded to ask me who I went with, in which I sadly replied with the truth (no one) in which she responded that she would have gone with me...I fear she has ill intentions.
Also I may need to ship out my SS gift Wednesday...I need to find a box and pack it and not sure if I will have time to make it to the post office tomorrow.
For those of you who have done a Kill & Keep event, what's the best way to do so?
I know the basics: Build a team from your extras, etc.; whatever figs you KO, you get (whatever figs your opponents KO, they get). How about rounds and pairings? Do you go multiple rounds with Swiss pairings or multiplayer? What happens if your entire force is KOed in the first round? Do you come prepared with extra teams in advance?
I, too, have received a secret santa container. However, as I did not sign up for the regular swap, I know it's from one of YOU! I can't wait until the 24th when I will take the kevlar mattress off of the bathtub and pull the package out of the water and open it up.

There are a ton of ways. Usually, I've seen them as multiple people on one map(s) and one round and played until last man standing or time limit. I've heard of some where you can bring several smaller teams and play multiple rounds.
I'm planning on running a different kind of Kill and Keep as a bit of a fund raiser as soon as I finish up details: Everyone will be on one map, despite how many players. The players can work together or not but they will be facing a huge force in the middle of the map(s) comprised of Us/SRs/LEs that I will be providing and playing. There will be additional prizes for First Place, etc... The players don't lose their figures but can screw each other over by stealing kills from the "Judge" team or killing each other. The center force will be approx. 150% of the total of all the other teams. So, if I have 8 players with 300 point teams, the center force will be 3600 points. Basically the center force won't have a turn but will take defensive actions (PC, etc...). If a player attacks a piece, that piece gets an immediate counter attack (if possible). If a piece is KOed, THEN the center force gets a full turn at the end of the round and will focus on the offending player (random if there is more than one offending player).
This will give players a chance to possibly get some pieces they may not have and could prove very interesting.

Container? What's it in... tuperware? If so how's the water help? Also, aren't you going to ruin the mattress leaving it in the water? Lastly how do you bathe when all this is taking over the shower? You filthy so and so!
Catering to the lowest common denominator since Feb 2003.

I'd love to run a kill and keep event at my venue. I know some of the newer players would be very interested if I ran this type of scenario but certain others would complain.
We did kill and keep with old LE Prizes in the middle of the map twice...whatever LE you KOed you got to keep...The first time we did it one person made a swarm team with a GL on it to carry his team and surrounded the LE's...that player ended up getting all of them. The other time was a bit different...
Your not supposed to tell him. That's what makes it a secret Santa.
Kids now a days, I tell ya.
I see what you did there!
