Correct! This always stuck with me, because it was an attempt to realistically age the JSA in Infinity Inc, and it got retconned away/ignored. At least Alex Ross made him bald in Kingdom Come.
Ah, but going by the retcon of the early part of the 2000's, Alan Scott isn't even human anymore, he's the GL power incarnate, and just thinks he's the real Alan Scott.

Then....what happened to the "real" Alan Scott?
Anyway, new question: in an early-80s publication, Fred Hembeck described these two heroes as having met during a JLA/JSA team-up; when in fact the two had never been in the same JLA/JSA team-up story together, at that point. Name these two heroes.
I don't know if they ever said. I stopped reading the JSA around that time. I think that retcon was retcon'd away.

Just a guess here;
Jim "Spectre" Corrigan and Hal "Green Lantern" Jordan ???
When our story opens, the Question is investigating an impossible locked-room murder mystery involving a midget and a 6'6"-tall call girl into heavy bondage. Don't worry, I'll explain later. It's all vitally relevant.

Definitely not. Both of them were in the 1963 (JLA #21-22) and 1971 (91-92) team-ups.
No no no, sorry. You're wrong. They had both had, at those times, been secretly replaced by shape-shifting White Martians. And their leader was known as Adaseuq. He was sort of like Supes imp, Myz (I can't remember how to spell it), only this was a martian version.
I can't quote JLA-JSA teamup rosters very easily, but I think we can rule out Flash (x2), Green Lantern (x2), Dr. Fate, Starman, Hawkman (x2?), J'onn, Wonder Woman, Superman, Batman, Atom, Aquaman (?).
How about Hawkgirl and Hawkwoman?
(I feel like we're trying too hard to make it two versions of the same character.)
