A parody of a specific song, town. Anybody? if you don't know if you are a parody of a specific song, please Wiki, we don't want to turn this into a mass roleclaim.
Secondly, a violent song, town. Anybody?
(Oh, and Rokk, I'm such a huge TMBG fan that Everything You Know is Wrong had me busting a gut when I first heard it-- references to St Peter and prothetic body parts that don't usually have them especially.)
That list omits "It's Still Billy Joel to Me" which I don't think has been released anywhere.
"What's the matter with the songs he's sing?
Can't ya tell they all sound the same?"
Yeah, I don't think it was ever distributed/available for sale.
It's been on Doctor Demento a lot (I still have my taped copy of it) and I wouldn't rule out some concert performances, but it certainly isn't widely known.
I gave that up a while ago -- largely because in many, many cases I heard Al's song first. Now I just assume the "original" act is parodying him.

True story:
My dad is a huuuuuuge classic rock (heck classic 'most any music genre you care to name except rap') fan and a good part of my formative years was spent listening to his collection and have him periodically quiz me with "Who is this? What album is it from?" kind of questions when stuff would come on the radio.
Which then makes me weep when my friends would hear the original of a widely covered song and say "Hey, this is ripping off [insert latest pop band]!" Not that covers are necessarily bad (many at least bring something new to the table if they don't improve on the original in some way), but I almost punched a guy when he told me Kylie Minogue wrote 'The Loco-Motion."

My girlfriend has had many animated debates online regarding who wrote "The Mercy Seat" - some people seem to think Nick Cave was merely copying Johnny Cash when it fact it is the other way around.

I've been told by know it alls that the Fantastic Four ripped off the Invincibles, and that Sting did a lousy cover of P-diddy's "every breath you take." I can forgive the people that told me as they were at least 10 years younger than I.
I was downright hurt though when someone fifteen years my senior critiscized Bob Marley's "I shot the Sheriff." Who the heck is that? they asked, and then went on to berate his rendition and tell me that Clapton wrote it.
Note: I am not playing in this game. But just wanted to share.
Carry on...
