Wait, did I say something funny? I don't know ME at all. Is Rokk's character a templar or something?
Templars are anti-magic holy warriors in Dragon Age. They are trained in being able to cancel magic. Magic is largely considered to be an evil practice for the most part, with the exception of the Circle. The Templars keep all of that in check.
However, templars are not the ones who are charged with killing the Darkspawn. The Grey Wardens are. I find it curious that they would be mentioned at all alongside the Darkspawn, especially if you don't have a DA role. Unless, that is, you are some sort of Paladin or Mage.

You know, considering recent events in another game I'm hesitant to pressure Thawmus. However, given my role and description I'd -really- like to know what he needs to do to meet his win condition.
No, not a Paladin or Mage, and it sounds like you're fishing.

D&D has Templars (maybe not the exact same ones but the term wouldn't be unusual for them to use).
The only Bioware games I don't own are MDK and "Mass Effect: Galaxies" (never thought of trying to play games on my iPhone *shrugs* ) so if either of those have Templars I wouldn't know.
"Nobody important? That's amazing. You know, in 900 years of traveling time and space I've never met someone who wasn't important."

True, but I don't recall them being present in NWN.

To my knowledge, there's no use of Templars in either game. Although, it has been quite some time since I've played MDK.

Are you mafia?
If not, it doesn't affect you. It says quite clearly that what I need to do will hurt the mafia, and help the town. I'm of the opinion that neutrals will be unaffected, if that's what bothers you.
If you're concerned with my "fishing", then simply don't answer. I'm merely thinking out loud, and inviting speculation and discussion.

I went into this game thinking that I knew a thing or two about Bioware titles. Having read that write-up, I'm realizing that knowledge stops, like, six years ago. Seems that they've been busy since then.

There are only 3 kinds of Templars-Knights, High and Dark.

I'm town. Just letting you know I don't trust you.
Then you don't need to worry about my other condition. However, the suspicion, as always, is welcome. As I've said in just about every game, it keeps me alive longer.

Veritably the only video game I've ever played where the villain was revealed, and I suddenly feared for the fate of humanity. Like...actually feared, for humanity. It was such a blow to my immersed psyche that I had to stop playing for a few minutes.
Of course, I get a little too immersed in stuff.

You should play Thief. Not Bioware, but really good for scaring. Especially if you have an amazing sound system on your computer. Thief 1 has some especially creapy areas and the Haunts really creaped me out, and Thief 3 had an awesome insane asylum setting. It's a first person sneaker and probably still my favorite game.

I don't play or watch scary stuff. My imagination is too life-like, and my subconscious enjoys the horrifying, so it stays with me for months.

I actually jumped one time when I turned a corner and a Haunt was right in front of me. The sounds. The setting. How much you need to listen and concentrate and immerse yourself ... really an amazing game. Wish they had made more. When I played 3 and was in the asylum, I used earphones and had all the lights off. That was a mistake. I had to stop and wait until a bright, sunny day to play again. I think JoH has played Thief. What did you think of the Haunts?
