I use the units section for tons of things, but the main reason I'd like to see it updated is the Haves/Wants for trading...

Quite true, and very well-said! As for the collection, what I did in the spreadsheet was add only the B&B figs I actually own. For duplicates (for army-building purposes), I just copy/pasted each fig until I had as many as there are in my collection. For the extras/tradestuffs, I will freely admit that none of that is in my sheet. It's just easier to track using the Units, and I, too, eagerly await the day it arrives. But I'm an exceptionally patient man.

I also thought of a couple of things this morning:
1.) I, along with several others, just throw things like this out without thinking of the myriad possibilities that could potentially exist for the others here on the site. Not having working knowledge, or heck, not even HAVING Excel, would nip my idea right in the bud, for example. I used to be an instructor at my old job, and keeping these kinds of things in mind is very important when introducing an idea.

2.) Strictly speaking of team-building, I've also used Heroclix Online from time to time. It's already got B&B and Blackest Night in the most recent updates, it's free, and it's relatively easy to pick up and run with.*

Well for me it's team building. It's quite a pain to be flipping back and forth between hcrealms and the wizkids site for team building and I'm not paying for battleplanner.

People donate money to this site and it's time to collect. C'mon man!

Two things... first off, that rings very hollow from someone who is not a donor. You're basically trying to speak on behalf of a group you're not even a part of. Second... some people seem to be confused on the definition of a donation. Donors already get special benefits for donating... none of which have anything to do with the units section. I want the units section updated as much as anyone. But I'm not playing the "I'm a donor, I paid money for this, do what I want right now!" card... because a donation is just that... a donation. It doesn't entitle you to anything other than whatever benefits are defined for each level... and really those are just perks. Most of the time when you donate something you don't get anything in return (save maybe a tax write-off or a warm fuzzy feeling). If I take a bunch of shirts to the Goodwill store, it doesn't entitle me to tell them how to run any aspect of their business.

Oh and just FYI, BattlePlanner hasn't been updated either. That irks me quite a bit more than the units here simply because that's a paid product and is its sole function.

Incorrect. Some previous releases have taken far longer; Collateral Damage, for example. I think what you meant to say was "This site has never been this late with any units updates with Hammer of Thor."

After all, we wouldn't want to overload the site by opening it up to everybody at once...

Technically any donation is "flushing money down the toilet" if you get right down to it. At least in the sense that you're not going to be getting anything in return. I donate because I want to help the site out and I realize that it's not free to run a forum like this. If I didn't get anything in return (custom avatar, bigger PM box, etc) I'd probably still donate. Heck I donate $250 a year to the VT Athletic Club, just to have the opportunity to purchase season tickets (another $300+ each). That's a much more substantial donation and really all it gets me is the ability to buy something else. And even that doesn't entitle me to stroll into Frank Beamer's office and start telling him how to coach the football team.

You know, that's great that there seems to be a healthy collective of (probably) older/crusty dudes who throw in with the side of "Patience", and take endless glee in knocking down the comments of those of us who aren't down with waiting any longer. I don't give a carp about donors vs. non-donors; being a donor usually just means being holier-than-thou, or thinking that non-donors have no right to say a thing. It's flat out ridiculous that donors AND non-donors alike are completely in the dark about when we will get to use one of our favorite things on the Internet EVER for building teams with B&tB. RIDICULOUS. We're just eager and excited! All this situation is doing is creating ill-will all around, but hey, at least we all have something to talk about...!
