Hi guys Big Daddy here. I was chatting to Modoc tonight and the shop has not got the stock, and the raft boosters are not there currently. He may also not be able to make it and has asked me to stand ijn a judge this week.
We will go for a 300 point moden age with Cptn Dave's weather conditions table in effect.
Dave can you post up the final version you used tonight? We will have some Cosmic Cubes and Nova Corps Helms up for grabs. Next fortnight is will be Infinity Gauntlet for sure.
Sorry about the change guys.
Just for a confirmation. Is this for Sundays game?
Man, i love duct tape. I love how it tapes. I love the sound that it makes. I love saying it.
Duct tape. Duct tape. Duct tape.
Format: Modern Age. Only maps which are outdoor or partially outdoor can be used. At the start of each players turn, roll a d12 on the following table and apply the result for that turn. These weather phenomena only affect outdoor squares
1: Rain - All clear terrain becomes hindering for line of fire purposes 2: Snow - All clear terrain becomes hindering for movement and line of fire purposes 3: Sun shining bright - As the bright lights battlefield condition, stealth cannot be used 4: Hail - All characters not occupying hindering terrain are dealt 1 click of damage 5: Strong winds - Reduce all characters speeds by 3. Fliers cannot fly 6: Lightning strike! - The active player may make d3 attacks at attack 8, damage 2. These attacks count as ranged attacks, but are unaffected by stealth 7: Flood - All terrain at Elevation 1 becomes water terrain 8: Eye of the storm - No effect 9: Meteor shower - The active player may place up to three light objects in any valid unoccupied square. 10: Earthquake - Roll a d6 for every non-flyer character. On a 5 or 6, give that character an action token. 11: Thick fog - All ranges and the ranges of all powers and effects that have a range are reduced to 1 when line of fire crosses outdoor terrain 12: Icy sheet - All attacks cause knockback
This is instead of the Infinity Gauntlet event planned.

Thursday 7th June
"Powering up!"
Points: 300
Build: Modern age. Any figure that doesn't take an action or clear tokens during a turn may be given a power token. At any point in their turn a figure can spend a power token to use perplex, targeting themself, providing a +2 bonus instead of +1.

So being given a free action also stops you from getting the power tokens?
Dragon ball z team of mine is only at its best at 600 point builds but i do have one "themed team" that shares keywords but also has an addition theme on top of that which will also fit the powering up build type as well.
It will be fun to see if other people build similar teams that will have a type of character or characters that fit the look of a power up feel of this theme
Through all of the universe have we searched, now comes the time to grasp unto ourselves the Space Gem
Infinity Gauntlet Burwood 4.1
Come hell or high water twill be on Sunday 17th June.
-300pts Draft
For those who do not know the framework of a draft
- we seat 3 to 5 players around a table (4 is optimal)
- each gets a booster
- each player having opened their booster selects a figure from within then passes the remaining figures to the next player
- this keeps occurring until there are no more figures left.
- then each player gets a second booster and the fun starts again.
- at the end of the process each player will have the equivalent of two boosters each with which to make a 300pt team.
There are two ways to handle super-rares and chase figures. People who have played other draft card games may be familiar with the format of handing in any super-rares and chases which then go into prize support. We will not be doing this. Any chase figure you get in your booster you can elect to keep. You don't have to though. Say you get, for instance, a Gamora and the Stranger. You may want to use Gamora in your team whereas the Stranger may not suit your style of play and you may consider him too costly to play in a 300pt game. That choice is yours, pass on the super-rare but keep the (some may say) better/more useful figure. Welcome to the fun of drafting.
The only wrinkle on this is that we may not have any Galactic Guardian Boosters in by then. If we don't we will instead use the pseudo-boosters made from figures kindly donated by James, Rob, Cap'n Dave, myself and others.
