Even if it was a good power, there's no reason to target the cop with it.

This is fine logic. I don't agree with it, but it's fine.

I wouldn't consider the cop to be the best target for an early recruitment in this game. Why? He's going to die. Being outed so early in the game is a near certain mid-game death for a cop.

Were I a recruiter, I would have targeted Truffle last night.

This is awful logic. I explicitly stated several times that if anyone wanted me to reveal my power I would. It's up there and it's not really a thing you can argue.

The first half of this is also awful logic. Were I, say, a Doctor (which I am, figured I'd share )(Doctor being a good power), I would absolutely target Furby with good reason. He's a new player who was outed as Cop early. Seems like a solid chap, so I wanted to make sure he stuck around longer. I'll be targeting him tonight as well assuming I make it out of this phase.

He's going to die? An outted cop will almost surely be doctored for the next several nights and there's no way he's going to be lynched. Out of everyone, Furby is least likely to die anytime soon.

Late game, the cult wouldn't recruit the cop. Early game? It happens all the time and it's a fine strategy.

He means the lynch. A lynch on a very scummy looking player can almost always use some support. Nothing wrong with his logic at all.

But you're claiming neutral survivor. To a neutral survivor doctor, doctoring the cop and doctoring any other player is of equal value. In fact, if I was a neutral survivor doctor, I wouldn't target anyone because neutral survivors want balance to be broken. They want the town to win or the mafia to win so that they can win. Preventing kills is only useful to the survivor if the town is about to win and you can speed that process along or to keep players that are supporting you in the game.

Plus, as all neutrals with powers that aren't kill powers may be accused of being cult, a neutral with a power that isn't a kill or recruitment power would do well to avoid obvious cult targets, such as the outted cop. Meaning even if you were a doctor and a neutral survivor, not only is Furby not a particularly good target (because nobody is, to a neutral survivor), he's a particularly bad target because someone tracking you targeting him makes you look scummy.

The new player stuff is all well and good meta but I expect good strategy out of you rather than meta and bad strategy.

Have we definitely seen evidence of recruiting? I think I missed it.

ERage's power - being he showed up as legit in regards to his name / affiliation claim, we'll go with the odds that he hadn't puffed up his power - included blocking recruitments.

From night 1, truffs. That looks like some form of mental manipulation and just screams of recruitment to me. Combined with e-rage's claim, I think we have a cult.

I have to say that I'm utterly disappointed in all of you for lynching erage. The vote of mine was complete and utter sarcasm. Anyone who didn't realize that wasn't paying attention or had other reasons to ignore it. The fact that I didn't remove my vote is my fault. So for that, Erage, I am truly sorry. When I got home to check in, you were already dead. I was literally screaming at my screen because I completely bought the power claim and so many people were not thinking it through at all.

Mini rant aside, think about the Pax thing. If he had come forward later on with a power claim of doc and you asked him who his target was, if he'd said anything other than Furby, you'd lynch him. Now you're lynching him for targeting Furby with it. I'm not voting for him today.

Why would you lynch the neutral survivor for not doctoring the cop?

Presumably, the town has its own doctor doing that already.

We know there's a recruiter. We know a neutral targeted the cop. Not a hard puzzle to solve.

Naturally, if he was the cult leader and he recruited you last night, you wouldn't want to confirm it.

i get not beliving me but i have not lied and i wont lie. so in the interest of full disclosure, i targeted rokk last nite, he is town. also, rereading the write up makes me think either i was not in it, or i was the girl who got dunked in the toilet
