Martial artists were big in the 70s and Iron Fist was among the better ones. He replaces Ghost Rider.
Nighthawk on Talia. He makes his damage 4. Needs 6, rolls 10. She's out.
Iron Fist merely moves to block.
If I had to pick one character from the 70s to reflect the era it would have to be the Beast. The Beast was never as cool or important, before or after. He was everyone's favorite Avenger. I lament the loss of the smart, edgy, funny hero of the day. He's up next. I'll pick the GSXFF version whose really much more X-Man than Avenger.
Punisher to F20.

Oh the caches on the map are fine. It's keeping track of how many he's picked up. Though I suppose that's a simple enough matter of counting and subtraction. I count 4 on the map, so he's picked up 1?
The 70s saw some very interesting additions to the Legion's already vast membership. Blok, Wildfire, Tyroc, but tempting as Wildfire is, he's pretty pricey for this game. Instead, I'll take the ever-useful Dawnstar. SLOSH style.
Darkseid Outwits Nighthawk's Shielded Wings.
Despero TKs Dawnstar to O18
Mr. Miracle Perplexes Dawnstar's AV to 11.
Dawnstar HSS to K19 on Nighthawk, DV18. Gets 7. 2 to him. Ends in S21
"Your flying ability comes from your suit. It isn't natural," Dawnstar said flying rings around Nighthawk. "I have lived with mine all my life, and could fly before I could walk. Compared to me, you're slow and clumsy."
"I'll show you slow and clumsy," Nighthawk said angrily, reeling from her punch. "Just...get back here, and then I'll show you. Yeah."
"So you're one of these types that excel at hitting people," Shade said to Iron Fist. "Unfortunately for you, that sort of skill will prove utterly worthless against my shadow creatures." He released a cloud of darkness that seemed to be alive. It wrapped around Iron Fist, and none of hit attempts to fight it had any effect. The shadows though obviously had an effect on him. When Shade pulled them back, Iron Fist was barely able to stand, an easy target for Captain Boomerang to finish off.
Punisher absorbs the cache underneath him and Magneto tks him to G17.
Punisher on Boom. Needs 7, gets 9, a ko.
Most important event of the 70s was the 2nd generation of X-Men. It took awhile for them to take off but by the 80s, the X-Men WAS Marvel. They will be well represented here. First off is my favorite of the new ones, the poet/reluctant hero: Colossus. He's on a very risky adventure. Rick tks him to row J. Colossus heads to Q13 carting the HO from M12 en route.
I'm guessing Punisher did not use either of the Caches that he picked up on his attack on Boomerang? So still 2 on his card and 3 on the map?
As you had pointed out earlier, Green Arrow would have fit nicely in the 70s with Neal Adams' Hard-Riding Heroes run he had going on with Hal. I opted to play Ollie when he came in and can't run him again, but there were some other developments tied to Adams run that I could use. Adams created John Stewart, certainly not the first black superhero, or even DCs first (Mal in the Teen Titans beat him by a year) but a very significant development nonetheless. I'll run the WOL105r version, and I have enough points to give him a Construct. Shield's a good fallback for him.
He will RS to O20, shoot at Punisher, AV10 on DV17. Gets 8. 3 to Punisher.
Despero TKs Darkseid to V16
Darkseid Outwits Colossus' Invincible.
Dawnstar HSS to R15, targets Colossus, AV10 on DV17. Gets the 7. 2 to him. She ends in U21
Miracle Perplexes Colossus' DV to 16
Darkseid shoots at Colossus, AV9 on DV16. Gets 9. 2 more to him after Invulnerable.

"I was in the Marines once. So it makes me a little nervous to see a man hiding with a cache of assault weapons," John Stewart said. "And yes, with my ring shining its light on the scene, I can see you hiding in there." He created a few hands that started pulling away the Punisher's ordinance, and they used them like clubs to start beating the vigilante.
"That metal man is trying to hit the Shade," Dawnstar said, flying in to help.
"Do not fret, Legionnaire. His metal shell will not be able to hold up against the power of Apokolips," Darkseid said, targeting Colossus with an energy beam.
