I don't get the hate I've seen in recent weeks from people regarding pizza and pineapples.
Canadian bacon and pineapple pizza has been around for a few decades now; what's with the sudden (?) dislike for that style of pizza?

Do not like the Canadian ham, calling it bacon should be a crime.

Ananas are good.
Down here in the states and a good deal of Canada they use ham and call it Canadian bacon. There are a few places that actually use real Canadian bacon but they are obviously only in Canada. The part of the pig that it comes from is the back loin as opposed to the belly, where our bacon comes from.
After tasting the many Hawaiian pizzas over the years I have come to the conclusion that they for the most part suck. If you want a tasty "Hawaiian pizza" ask for a pizza with pineapple (ananas) and bacon.

Pineapple, ham, bacon, and a tad extra sauce are on our regular rotation. Not too often, but every 5th or 6th pizza. A delicious Hawaiian pizza is perfectly fine now and then.
Let the hipster foody snobs worry about their spinach/brown sauce/marinated onion with organic lamb or whatever pizzas. #### them.

Amanas and Bacon sound awesome for a pizza, or anything else for that matter.
On a side but not related note, one of the local 'Mexican" restaurants started added a some options to their cheese dip, sauteed jalapenos and bacon are fantastic in queso blanco.
I'm not sure why pineapple on pizza is suddenly in the news headlines. It must have been mentioned on some late night show, and then just spiraled from there.
I like phant's suggestion of bacon and pineapple, but I have no problem with ham and pineapple, or Canadian hamacon and pineapple. Heck, I'd try hamburger and pineapple, since I do like a slice of pineapple on my cheeseburger every now and then.
Speaking of cheeseburgers, I haven't been to Slater's in a loooooooooooooooooong time, and I'm craving the peanut butter and jelly burger with a maple bacon milkshake.

The "furters" on that menu look a little too anatomically suggestive. And maybe those burgers are delicious, but man oh man, some of them sounded disgusting. Are they much better than they initially sound, or what?!

Yes. I was veeeeeeeerrrrrryyyyyy skeptical when I first went there. My brother-in-law (who is very much aligned with me on foods to eat) took me there. He was going to get the PBnJ burger, and was going to let me have a bite of it to try it. I said that I would get a different burger, and we'd cut each burger in half, and share that way. He said, no. He liked the PBnJ too much to give me more than a bite. So I said that if he's all in, then I'm all in, so I got the PBnJ for myself. I made the right choice.
I tried some of everyone else's burgers, and they were all good. The 50% ground beef/50% bacon patty is divine.
So, yeah. They sound weird. But dammit...they're gooooood.
