There have been a ton more spawns of Ekans and Koffing than Meowth in my area. It's usually 5 to 1 ratio of Koffing over Meowth and 3 to 1 ratio of Ekans over Meowth. It seem like for the past few events when it comes to releasing a pokemon into the wild that is the new shiny, they are not spawning as prevalently as they used to.

For example I feel like that for Anorith a while back there would be 1 spawning at almost every pokestop and one spawning in each major spawning cluster in the wild. Meowth is spawning at every 4th or 5th pokestop that I visit and there might be 1 at every 2nd or 3rd major spawning cluster.

With that being said, my shiny Koffing looks like a dust ball. Didn't know they were shiny but I'll take it.

Seriously, if the visual change was going to be that insignificant, the least they could have done is ship it with a variant sound where it actually says, "Meowth."

Holy shamoly but the Team Rocket Leaders are tough. Managed to beat Sierra and got a shiny Sneazel off of her.

I took down Cliff, but it sure wasn't easy. Meowth got away though.

Totally forgot Community Day is tomorrow, got the reminder just after I incubated a 5km egg. Maybe I can move around enough to hatch it today, we will see I guess. Only have enough candy for one Infernape at the moment, not sure how much I will be able to play.

Didn't manage to go out during Community Day but my neighbour had put a Mossy Lure on the new Pokestop so I could catch quite a few Chimchars from home, and one of them was good enough to evolve.
Not moving around meant I only got the hatch bonus on one egg. It was a shiny Makuhita though, pretty cool.
Didn't manage to do any GalWeezing raids either but oh well.

I beat Sierra too, and did not catch the Sneasel. Did you find out that Sneasel was shiny on the catch screen or after you caught it?

BTW I LOVE how Niantic decided to do this Team Rocket boss thing. IT is something to work toward, it is not impossible, and the bosses are a big enough of a challenge that you get a lot more satisfaction when you do beat them. This is exactly what we need in the game for those of us that are a bit more casual in our play but enjoyed the cartoon to an extent.



This community day was crazy. It was only me and I got 12 shinies. Nap time prevented me from completing the whole community day and also from doing the special Koffing raid.

Apparently I am Cliff's personal nemesis, I keep running into him and not the others. Oh well.

Community day is when I got my 6th device and I mostly ran into Arlo and sometimes Sierra. Never Cliff.

Niantic made a wise choice to allow players to keep on battling any Rocket Boss if they lose in battle.

Beating him is not much of a problem, it just gets repetitive.

It was shiny from the jump, that bright pink Sneasel. I was nervous, because I did not want to run out of Premiere Balls and lose out on it, but it managed to stay in after the first throw, so I got lucky there.

Couldn't you just "shop around" with the Rocket Bosses and lose battles until a shiny pops up?

We get SHINY Tentacool now with increased spawning and they are pretty decent for throwing excellent throws. Just need to get 3 in a row.

Did anybody else get the ex raid payoff yesterday? I had an EX raid pass for the sprint store by my work, and all sprint stores went offline yesterday and are no longer stops or gyms. I got paid off in 5 premium raid passes and 50,000 stardust. I would have liked to have done that ex raid, but damn if I didn't enjoy the payoff too!

Stomped the crap out of Arlo this morning and got a Shiny Scyther for my troubles! Few things in this game have felt quite as satisfying as succeeding against a Rocket Leader.
