Wow! I just thought of Nebula as almost an afterthought while I was writing that last post, then EG puts an Anti-Thor team up around her! Great minds, great minds.

Ahem. Anti-Thor 2 also features Nebula.

I know where your coming from Captain Spoon, both my friends have ultimate thor and they are both very annoyingly good at using him, but i have beat them both mainly by overpowering them, Ultimate Thor is great, so just get someone greater, I used KC Supes but in a 600 point team, not 300, so I would advise you to use Magog instead along with Rookie Hawkgirl, Rookie Black Panther and an Experienced Paramedic, and maybe throw in a couple of perplexers and other useful figures you can fit in, just base Thor and hit him, you really can't miss and if you perplex your damage up to six it'll knock him onto his weakest dial, then take out your opponents outwit and paramedic and they are screwed, and you get some well earned revenge for everyone using Ultimate Thor!

I suppose it's viable to counter Ult Thor with Magog or KC Supes or KC SHAZAM.

But those teams in a 300 or 400 point format will fall prey to the same weaknesses as the Thor team. Namely, any of my Anti-Thor teams, or any good Incap/Barrier team will really give them a run for it.

Without a REALLY tight team, at 300 or 400, those big guys take up so much of your team that you fall prey to an action deficit.

They're still monster figures and will win at least some of the time. But they're all susceptible to being out actioned and Incapactiated.

I have to disagree with you here; Thor is a great fiqure and he lives up to all the *hype* he's gotten.

Thor and the Ultimate-Avengers have changed the way alot of us build teams.
Stealth-Teams were my favorites; Thor's running-shot and 5-Damage combine for a devasting attack.
The insane thing about this particular fiqure is that it's the only character whom can deliver 5-clicks of Damage on his last two clicks on his dial.
Thor is dangerous all through his dial and his 10-Range / 2-Arrows are nothing to sneeze at.

For 186 pts. , Thor is as Great as folks folks say he is.

Sorry - I wasn't trying to imply that it was my idea or anything, but I didn't look at your links, and Nebula just kinda popped into my head, there too. I just thought it was funny that we both (at some point) had thought of Nebula as a good counter fig.

If I may jump in on this conversation.....Nebula is one of my favorite fiqures . I'd rather use her than her father Thanos.
Her dial starts off lighted up like a Christmas-Tree.
All those beautiful colors......

i had no problem smacking thor down using vet ult hawkeye and the 165 pt green lantern with willpower/tk...

All you have to do is get two clicks on him and he's not hard to deal with at all. It's always nice to be able to Outwit his RS, but as others pointed out already, you're most likely going to still be in his range anyways, and the Outwitters are going to be his first targets usually.

first time i faced thor... he whooped my @$$! i was a newbie that time. i didnt even know how the ult team ability works! my best player on the field was an E thor! so last friday i came prepared! E Firelord, V Hawkeye and E Hawkeye! R Deathstroke, R and E Con Artist and some paramedics for support!

outwit impervious and have fire lord shoot first then hawkeye then u still have a back up hawkeye! technique is bring him down in one round because his defense drops and can easily be healed. i took him down last friday with hawkeye and firelord. the highlight of my career!! LOL!
