Okay, I think some of you are mis-interpreting what I said.
I'm not down on them for making KC GL by anymeans, I have no problem with it and am actually looking-forward to it. My only point was that it seems to me that there are other characters that deserve more face time in clix form than him. And I will say: toche! for the ultimates Rhino figure, and my exact same argument would be used for him (except let's face it, he's not in the same realm of coolness that Magog and KC GL are in, so he really doesn't matter).
I'm not giving any specific names of characters that I'd rather have made, mainly b/c my DC knowldge pales in comparison to some of you more seasoned readers out there. I'm simply saying that there must be those of you out there that are a little miffed that this character is getting 'clixed' over some others that you may want more.
I'm not dogging on KC GL at ALL!
And Carlos Mucha: what the ####!?! 56 panels?!? I just went through it and stick by my original count. I wasn't trying to be biased, if he was there I counted him, but you're saying I only saw about HALF of his appearances? That's a tough call. Also, you say that he's the number 7 character? I'll name 7 charaters right now that were more prominent than him; try supes, bats, WW, Billy, Luthor, Magog, Von-whatever-his-name-is, Flash, Spectre & old man (if they count), #ell, even the Bat-Sentries, Power Girlis another.
I'll give you that he made the emerald city and that he protected people from the blast in the battle, but otherwise, neh....
This would mean, what? we'd have a really expesive barrier GL?!?
All I'm saying is that there's plenty of characters that are waiting in line to be made, and while I have no problems with this one, shouldn't we consider the fact that there are others, if for no other reason then to acknowledge it? So please don't react to me as if I don't like the story or the character, I like both plenty!
In Kingdom Com,e there are a great, great many characters involved, and as such very few get explored on any level, but the main three Batman Superman, and Wonder Woman.
In issue #1 the Spectre explains whats left of the worlds heroes (and you see far more of this in the book by Elliot S! Maggin)
He explains hos the Flash is barely seen as he has made his city a virtual utopia, "he lives between the ticks of a second" is how hes described.
Hawkman is in his "Hawkgod" Phase and is a sort of "environmental terrorist"
and Green Lantern (who was conceived as the "Green Knight") is ever vigilant, awaiting extraterrestrial incidents.
so hes one of three characters other than Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman they explore in book one, and by the end of the story has a major role as a key combatant, as well as one of the few survivors...
