Originally posted by superfriend She looks so different from what I remember in the comics AND from the version on TV (Teen Titans Animated is proably why she was chosen) that I don't see a reason to make her look like this.
Playabiltiy wise, very good.
Because that's how she looks now. The Fearsome Five recently made an appearance in the current Outsiders book. This page has a pic of the old team, and the new one: http://www.titanstower.com/source/whoswho/fear5.html
She is definitely one of the more obscure characters in Heroclix, though.
Since I couldn't care LESS about this "jinx" as a charcter, I'm just stating for the record now that I'll be putting my Ocean Master custom figure on one of her dials.
She's in Aquaman's point range, and with Phasing, PC, PB, Pulse Wave, Explosion, and the long-awaited Enhancement, PLUS the Calculator wildcarding ability, she's got "Ocean Master" written all over her, I say!
No love for Jinx? She was awesome in their latest Outsiders apperance. And she sounds soooooo useful for her points. Wildcard, PB, and PC then enhancement, is fantastic. She will be seeing alot of use for me just for the PC, because it doesn't come cheap in DC....till now. Even if her attack numbers are horrible, she won't be on the front line so I don't care.
Great piece! Man I am lovin' this clix all ready!
Prize or no prize. If you're not having fun, whats the point?
Only 10 points separate the Rookie from the Vet..........that ain't much. Pulling dupes of her is not going to be cool.
More wildcard fodder.............further showing how Wildcard abuse is/will be the largest problem of the game.
But the MECHANICS and POGS!! Very well done WK. Love how everyone is complaining that Batman is dead..........well slip on a little Deep Shadows when they're not looking. Damage Shield? Sweeeeet.
Yeah, Jinx kind of reminds me of Raven, in terms of how she's useful for different things, as her click changes! The Wildcard/Perplex, gives her that Black Cat kind of usefuleness, and the fact that 10 points seperate her R from her V means that you can squeeze her on pretty much any team. I would suspect that she doesn't lose much from version to version.
Pretty sweet!
I'm really stoked now...I paid for my case today.
1/6th of the Brothers Prob. '19-'20 Season: 15-13(8 events) 2 wins, 2nd XDPS PR 9-7, 7th SOC
E Black cat sees a lot of play at my venues. Not after this comes out I'd wager. I love a stealthed PC'er who can see into stealth and isn't hindered by terrain. The Psychic blast ups er from E Black cat's roll of "PC only" to "serious Pc secondary attacker"
Prediction: Jinx will be the new stable on EVERYONE's Wildcard abuse team.
In another edition of "Wizard Got It Wrong," the gaming special lists her as having ESD instead of Enhancement. No mention of ESD in this write-up, but as far as I'm concerned, I think we come out on top with her having enhancement instead. Kind of the opposite of Kid Flash not getting the 1 range we were excited about.
Matter-EaterLad Snack List: Time Gem, Remaker
Etrigan Prime Transformation List: Blackhawk Pilot, Per Degaton
Seriously, why do they preview figures like this? Seriously, why?
I wouldn't really mind, generally, but they NEVER give official playtips or deisgn info about figures unless they preview them like this, and I'd prefer getting explainations about why Arsenal cannot use Trickshot than why Jinx has Calculator TA.

FEARSOME FIVE? Sounds like a dreadful rip of the Frightful Four to me. I think the Wingless Wizard, or Trapster even, could take Jinx anyday.

Come to the Dark Side, because we have better uniforms. Better rules, abilities, and sculpts too.
Wildcard games will be more fun. You know what would be annoying? If you gave her the CSA TA. Then, she could have 2 prob controls instead of one! Crazy stuff.
Trust me, peeps, the Fearsome Five is not obscure.
In fact, with Mammoth, Jinx and Gadget on TV, it's nice to get one of them in clix form.
So far, to fight the Teen Titans, we have Deathstroke and Brother Blood (barely), Queen Bee is sort of a villain, and then not much.
Dr. Light? Paging Dr. Light?
Wildebeast?
Terra?
The Hive?
So yeah, getting some action from the Fearsome Five is good. Heck, we're even getting the Fatal Five, too.
Meanwhile, the more obscure clix go to the likes of Cameron Chase and the HDC Troopers, which neither have more than a dozen comic appearances to their name (although Chase was an excellent series).
We need Sand. And Sandman. And even Sandy the Golden Boy.

I enjoyed the Jinx preview, but I see your point. OTOH, the rationales are only presented in these previews if the designer actually believes WK did something questionable. For examples, JonL explained why KC Flash got the 15 speed, but he didn't say anything about Kid Flash's 9 AV.
Veteran Jinx starts with
8 Speed Phasing
9 Attack (Purple)
16 Defense
2 Damage (Blue)
8 range one Target
BTW, Veteran Joker starts with an 18 defense.
If you're looking for cheap figures, this ain't your set.
16 non unique Veterans are 100 or more points.
5 Uniques are 200 or more points. Ares is 275, Ultraman 242, General Zod 236, Green Lantern 225, and Mongul 200.
