And as much as I hate to say it, the Intergang Medic deserves a spot on this list, too. Sure, he's easily the least cost-efficient medic, but the Vet. does do 2 damage, which is solid for a late-game attacker and also helps out with War Zone. Plus, you can team him up with a wildcard like Jinx and add yet more Outwit to a team.
"Well, nothing ever went quite exactly as we planned,
Our ideas held no water, but we used them like a dam..."
I agree with everyone so far about all of the figures mentioned, even the lowly Intergang Medic.
Unfortunately, it takes way too much space (and time) to cover EVERY figure who meets the criteria for each of the Powers I'm looking at.
That's one of the reasons that I write up my build notes the way I do. It allows people reading the article to sub in different figures for different roles. So everyone out there could theoretically build this style team without the exact lineup of figures I come up with.
That allows for a little bit of individualization and it allows people to sub in for figures they don't have. It even allows you to convert the team into an unrestricted/restricted format, since you know what Power you're looking for, and what role on the team that figure will fill.

My question is why use the Experienced Domino over the Rookie on that team?
I can justify using the Experienced if I have other X-Men or wildcards on a team, but without those you're better off saving those 11 points and using the Rookie.
No love for the Lobster? You can just stick him in hindering in the middle of the board and no one will bother with him until it's much too late (especially if you pair him up with, say, the Zatanna Zatara LE - a Stealthed, Impervious guy who'll nail you for Mystic damage if you actually do hit him? Most people will pass on that). And if someone does go after him, it'll have to be a piece of at least his value (if not more). He's just enough points that he can draw the attention of a primary attacker - and he's just elusive enough that he can stick around for a few turns while you pound on that primary attacker.
A great article webhead, but no mention of my favorite medic...the V AIM Medic! She's got a 6 range, 8 attack, and is 2 points less than the Easy Company. Even though I have to agree with you on the Easy Company Medic, I just love the AIM guys.
ALthough I stick to the usual suspects for Support and Perplex (although when points are available I go for Mystique), for Outwit and TK you failed to mention the best supporters: the Leggionaries.
These guys, namely Cosmic Boy and Brainiac 5, not only are cheap, fly and copy abilities, but they're focused (normally keeping the ability for hte whole dial). My current team has the fundamental TAs on the attackers (Ultimates, Brotherhood and Batman Ally) and uses the wildcard to male these supporters unbeatable.
Outwit anyone, TK anywhere, move free and stay covered.
I know a lot of people don't have Indy UK, but V Nemesis is the attacking Prob Control piece I like best. He's cheaper than Loki or Dr. Fate, but still an effective offensive piece. His range is solid, his attack is 10 before 2000AD, which of course he can add to your wildcards. His Prob Control, High Attack and Psychic Blast make him a very underestimated attack piece.
Next DC Set Wants: Rick Flagg, Asmodel, Ragdoll, Jeanette, Faith, Salaak, Larfleez, Saint Walker, Warth, Sayd, Scar, Atrocitus, Dex-Star, Star Saphire (Carol Farris), Indigo-One, Congorilla, and remakes of Deadshot, and Mongul as leader of the Sinestro Corps

He didn't mention the Legionares because basicly all of them cannot attack worth an anything. Evil Genius was looking at completly integrating support powers and the ability to attack effectively into single figures.

For the most part retired figures weren't mentioned. Otherwise you can be certain Moondragon would have made the list for combat TK pieces.
While on that subject, that is one area I've bucked the Jean Grey trend for a *long* time. I'm still a firm believer in the combat TK piece, even as I admit against a *really* skilled player you're giving yourself a bit of a handicap vs Jean Grey. I've fielded teams with Fatality-E/V/LE, Johnny Alpha-V, Moondragon, Polaris-R/V, Green Lantern (UN)-E, Magneto-V/U many times at tournaments and won. I still can't see playing an expensive Support piece, or piece for Perplex more expensive than Mystique, but having a TK figure that can dish out pain gives some serious follow-up options that Jean Grey just doesn't do.
meatballz8 and shadow_cat55, Webhead, as the mod, posts the article on the front page, but if you look a little closer, you'll see the author is .... ME!
Glad you liked it! You can also find my prev 2 team articles in the News/Press Release forum and my original Team Building article (from October 2003) in the article section.

Goblin's got it completely correct here. I like the Legionaires and I use them on a lot of teams, but the idea this week was to have all of the supporting Powers on figures who were serious attackers. I could have gone with Saturn Girl for Perplex and Mind Control, but her 0 damage just held her off of this team.

Righto, Marshal Law. Using retired figures, the team looks a lot different. I really like using Moondragon and even IC Magneto for TK/attackers.

I didnt decided yet which one is Legacy best figure: V Batman or V Jinx. Batman is a beast, but Jinx is so cheap, mobile and useful! And with fortitude, Psychic blast will be more important ...
Squirrel Girl's KO list:
1. Doctor Doom
2. Thanos
3. Terrax
4. M.O.D.O.K.
5. Deadpool
Currently reading ...
1. Ultimates II
2. Ultimate Fantastic Four
3. Secret Six
4. Eternals
5. Young Avengers
This article basically covers how I always make teams nowadays. There are many of these types of figures. I hate the idea of sinking 50+ points into a bunch of worthless weenies for their one cool power.
Also, the main point is that many of these powers don't require an action to use so it doesn't really matter who has them. In fact having them on a main attack fig usually puts them in better position to use it.
Support and TK are special cases and I really prefer not to have these powers on someone that can attack consistently. These abilities require actions. I'd rather keep the points on these low (I rarely even use them, especially support) so that I can keep more attackers. Mainly because I subscribe to the philosophy that he who strikes the most, strikes best.
Also, I think that now with Exploit Weakness being around and Psychic Blast being much more common that Outwit isn't quite as VITAL as it used to be (I <3 Dagger). I think PC is much more important.
