Veteran ultimates spidey is what I'd play for pounce, he would be able to move into a useful position and then pounce the next turn without an extra push and then be on his SS clix.
Venom works, I wouldn't suggest pouncing off his second click, he'd lose his perplex.

Vet Venom and ICWO is an excellent KC Lantern killer (given you go through his KC TA, which is a gamble). But still, Move ten, 14 attack and 5 dmg with H.O. or 6 with Soda Machine...he's gonna feel it!
I gotta go with Veteran Robin for 37 points(22 + 15) you get not only get a 10av and but you get a smoke cloud to cover him before he attacks (cause if he pushes, who cares?). Throw in ICWO with oracle and he can drop the smoke screen, outwit the defense and jump in for 3 clicks of damage, thats enough to hit most of the big hitters past their impervious. All that for 37 points!
Not to take anything away from how decent a tactic it is, but thats going to cost you atleast 84 points (22 + 15 +20(ICWO for at minimum 2 people)+27(oracle for putting on her card for outwit)) not quite as cheap as it first appears.

Actually, the Pounce push comes before a normal push, so V Ult Spidey would take 2 clicks, not 1. The LE Ult. Peter Parker, However, has Willpower on his second click, so he'll only take one click of push damage.
I wish it didn't work like that, but what can you do?
For straight up min/max damage then go with Starter Spidey.
I for one, am in the Boon camp. I wouldn't use him on a 300pts team as its only a 1 trick pony and doesn't do enough damage to justify pouncing more than once.
I prefer the E Boon w/ pounce as a support piece killer in larger games; deadly enough to wipe out conartists, black panthers, jean greys, and medics. But his 16def with super senses and his late dial flurry means he's wiping two support pieces on the same turn. Not bad for 41pts
Now sometimes I go with the Vet Boon if I want a fairly cheap tie up piece to scare a huge point figure. After the initial pounce he now has an 11Av with blades and super senses. You can't afford to ignore him and any attack might just be dodged. Again an efficient use of 63pts.
I love using CM spidey, jump in to get an early blow on a big hitter or take out a support in one go, also after being wounded he gets 18 defend so he can leap back to the rest of your team and when the 2 teams meet to face each other you will have and advantage.

Both the pounce damage and the pushing damage are resolved at the end of the action-would that not mean you can choose which damage is applied first just like you choose which is rolled first-leadership or auto-regen?
Eh . . .
I have no sekrets, I just am.

I'll chime in on this as well, Prof. Both normal pushing and the Feats that give pushing damage are phrased the same way, "after resolving the action". Since they would happen at the same time, you do get to choose which happens first (normal push before Pounce push with Ult. Spidey, Pounce push before normal push with the LE) as you see fit.
Of course, players could just stop Pouncing with characters who already have an action token, but that may be just my preference.
Someone mentioned that you need your KC roll to base a KC fig. Thats where starter spidey comes in handy, just wildcard a KC fig if you have him on the team. He is great on a large team. Free move to pick up object and run and hide in stealth. Pounce out with either Ultimates, KC, or 200ad/Ult X-men for higher attack, then become a mystics tie up piece. He is great to take out a jinx, deathstroke,etc.. or any other anoying piece.

I recall reading in the rules forum it was said you must take the push click from the feat card first, then deal with the push for going twice in a row after, so Ult. Spidey would take 2.

Upon further research, it appears hot_fusion & StormX are correct. From the HC FAQ:
"If a Feat card requires the character using the Feat to take push damage, the damage from the Feat card is applied to character before any push damage from taking a second consecutive action (if applicable) is applied."
Man, no matter how many times I read through that $#@! document, I always forget something. Truthfully, I don't understand why the ruling was needed... Since the feats are already worded to bypass Willpower on characters for the card pushes, I don't see why it's necessary to double-screw Willpower characters by forcing them to apply the feat-push first, possibly knocking a character off its Will. Oh well. :knockedou
Earlier it was suggested that you could use BFC with pounce, you cannot.
Pounce states that after giving the piece a Power Action, they can move their full move and make a free "combat attack". BCF requires a "combat action".......attacks, and actions are different animals.
No BFC with the pouncy.
Otherwise, Universe Experience Wildcard spiderman hands down. For 55 points, and a pop machine, I can guarantee a whopping 6 dmg. With wildcard (Judge AD TA) , +1 from pounce and perplex his attack is 13, enough to hit a KC Green Lantern anytime of day. Venom has more staying power with that toughness, and can be more of a threat with the blades later dial, but the Wildcard and low point value make the spiderman an obvious choice.

Of course, number6 is referring to BCF (Blades/Claws/Fangs), and not BFC(s) (Battlefield Conditions).
