I was wondering if the Nanobot feat cards will work with a Hypersonic character who runs away from battle and walks up and be adjacent to an object to get another free action to get healed 2 damage points.

Ex: Hypersonic guy attacks: Flash attacks (Power Action Spent) and moves away and becomes adjacent to an object. Does the figure get a free action to make an object disappear and get healed 2 points.

If this is the case both Hypersonic and Phasing will be very powerful. I guess I will have to deal with more hypersonic teams in major tournaments.

I think I wiould need a battle field condition to cancel or weaken hypersonic soon. Either make it available in Icons or the next Marvel sets.

They specifically said that cards would continue to be included. Pogs make an easy way to add variety, and with new pogs having powers, they have more options. I would expect to see more pogs, but it looks like pogs with TA's are going away. Huzzah!

I think you are correct with your example. However, in case anyone was thinking of doing this, you can't do free actions in the middle of an action, just like you can't outwit in the middle of a HSS attack. Therefore, you have to stop adjacent to an object that isn't by any other character in order to sacrifice it heal your Flash. Hope that clears things up.

Well, I'm pleasantly surprised with the sound of the direction Wizkids wants to take the game. The highlights for me:

*More thematic play!
*Iron Man-themed next set!

That also isn't fair to the younger or not as well off players. Not everyone can afford to drop ~$96 at a shot for 12 boosters. What about the kids who spend their $10 allowance every week for a new booster? What is WizKids saying that they have to save for 10 weeks to get a Brik and their special LE?

Seems to me they are pushing out the kids who could be their life-blood years from now.

Yeah, I agree...seems a bit unfair. Since I buy for two people (myself and my brother), it'd be nice if I could get one of them for each person I'm buying for, at least. :P

I do like most of the announcement though...new maps (hopefully they won't be hard to get!), sets being easier to collect, new guy night, a wildstorm hint, more themed sets, new scenarios, more focus on thematic play in general...all good. And a set based on one of my all-time favorite heroes - Iron Man! Oh yeah baby!

I was a bit surprised by that last bit though, as I inferred an X-men set in November based on the advertisement in the Fantastic Forces boosters...but an Iron Man set that fills out the rest of the "New X-men" as well? I gotta say that I love that!

So who are the characters going to be in this new set?

Bummer that we're still only going to get one DC set per two Marvel. We've gotten to the pretty obscure level of Marvel characters (not that I mind, I like obscure characters) and we're still missing some relatively-known DC characters, notably long-term JLAers who aren't headliners, and a lot of villains. I would love to have the same level of CD characters, not to mention more remakes, as we just got.

I was hoping a while back that they'd make the DC sets bigger at least, so we could get more characters per set.

Also, Iron Man is one of my least-favorite big-name Marvel characters, so I am not excited about Armor Wars as a theme.

I'm happy about more common Uniques, though. I'll still buy a case, becuase it will be cheaper-- but I'll have more stuff to sell off or trade.

It *would* be cool to have a golden (or grey) original Iron Man as a U. I woudl prefer golden. Make him low-power, low-cost.

WHAT THEME will DC have in MARCH?

Figure it would have to be. With the demise of CrossGen, Wildstorm is the 800lb. gorilla of the Indy world. I still wouldn't hold my breath for anything Spawn-related (I personally could care less). But WildCATS, StormWatch, and even Authority aren't out of the question.
