Story:
Mercy listened to Sebastion relay his orders over the comm link.
"Nice to hear your geeky voice again. Tin man isn't responding, so I'll move over next to Sean, er, Brisk right now."
Moving quickly, she landed beside Brisk no time.
"How's it going, Brisk?"
"Good. Let's get 'em, Mercy." was his reply.
"Nuh-uh. It's Jezebel now. We got them codenames, huh?"
He nodded. She quickly scanned the area. No one seemed to be around. Kane was standing near a bush.
She tried using her sensors to weed out enemies, but it proved fruitless.
"Well, time to stand here and see what happens."
Jezebel laughed. She felt almost eager to get it started. One might say deliciously anticipating the carnage to come.
And why not? This is what she was made to do.

Whatever happened to first turn immunity?

depends if "forfeiting first turn movement for advanced deployment" counts as not being in your starting spot . Kane's Judgement.

I asked Kane beforehand, because if First Turn Immunity came into play, increasing Heru's damage would have been pointless. He said that since they were no longer in their start area, they no longer had first turn immunity.

I figured it was being ignored. Just tossing my .02 in

Story: Kane was having too much fun for the life/death situation he was in. He bobbed left and right, up and down, avoiding slashes and stabs from Spasm.

"Whoops, sorry. Missed again!"

Spasm's frustration was growing exponentially, and finally her arms whipped into a bladed flurry, catching Kane off guard and stabbing deeply into his left shoulder, tearing the knife out and going for a followup, which he feebly defended, his left arm refusing to do much of anything at the moment.

The two probes made their move, one scanning forward to Brisk before determining him to be a non-threat and not a mission directive. It was here for visual confirmation, and Brisk was not the one being confirmed... it fired a piddly shot to distract and confuse, then dissapeared into the illusory technology offered by its 'partner'.

Bourgeoisie watched as Brian reached the roof, then began trying to use his influence.

"You seem like a bright fellow... a true assistant to the Marxist cause!"

Brian seemed caught off guard.

"What?"

Bourgeoisie muttered something under his breath, then tried plan B.

"To show you what promise we believe you have, we offer you our protection! Iron Curtain?"

Iron Curtain nodded, then extended a bit of his field around Brian, restricting his movement slightly.

"We hope that you will see the light and join us spreading Marx's answers to the world's problems..."

Story: Sean looked over at Mercy nervously. He knew she was trained quite well as he saw some of the things she had done in previous missions. He was just a kid who needed some money and has some powers and had somehow gotten into all of this mess. He had to admit that she was very good looking. His eyes wondered down her body. Then instantly zoomed back up to her eyes; not wanting to be caught. She looked at him and smiled. He smiled back. He then thought to himself, "This should prove to be quite...interesting." Oops gotta focus. The enemy he had hit with a small gust had gone someone while he was talking to Mercy. Where has she gone? Oh well. She'll have to show herself sometime. He then leaned against the car lazily and closed his eyes.

Story:
Mercy had glanced at Sean briefly. He smiled in a typical awkward teenage fashion. Repressing her desire to roll her eyes, she smiled back, reassuringly. She noticed him checking out her body.
"Boys will be boys...." she thought.
But she was used to it. Males, who so often judged a woman's worth on her looks alone, often approached her, hoping for some loving.
She often declined those half-assed jerk-offs. The ones who stared voraciously at her, as a lion would survey a fallen antelope.
Sean was a nice guy though, so she tried to encourage him.
"Let's kick some tail, huh?" she said. He nodded nervously. She shook her head once more.
As she finished her sentence, chills ran down her back.
"Something feels wrong." she warned Brisk.
She glanced around. No one. But a nagging feeling of dread remained.
"I'm outta here. I have to check out the surroundings."
Moving quickly, she landed beside Michael.
"Hey Michael." He looked at her.
"I know Vlad wants some assistance. But do ya think you could give me a boost too? Not now, I'm need a quick break."
He looked confused.
"Look, I think there's something in that bush to our right in front of Sean. Gimme a boost and I'll check it out."

Story: Heru, deciding to further press his luck, pressed his attack. For the first time, Heru attempts to use his modified torch on an enemy.

If I remember correctly, the other enemies are just around the corner. I guess I will check out this torch.

While rushing out to the foe, Heru fumbles with the torch, causing his aim to twist spectacular off target. The plasma rolled over the (not very) heat resistant roof, scorching it and sending massive amounts of heat Heru's way. With an aim like that, the only one that needs to worry about getting hit is any nearby insects crawling by.

Heru had an almost perceptable shake when he arrived back in his hiding spot, the shot had been so spectacularly bad, he vowed to never use the weapon again.

Action: Heru uses HSS to go up and make a ranged attack against Kapital from L-13. The Skrull roll is a 4, so he can target him. The attack is 11 AV versus 18 DV(because of the shield by Iron Curtain)... needs a 7 I get a 3(1,2). Heru stops at P-12.

The update is wrong again.

Timeline begins to jot down a few notes about some things, and then turns his attention to Mindbender. "You're full of so much power and energy... If only you knew what I know..." he thinks silently. "Would you be so eager to help out?" Sebastion scribbles down a few more notes then begins to speak to the team again.

"Good job, Heru. Thanks to shoddy craftsmanship or a leak from last Winter, you've managed to take out the most manueverable of the enemies. I must say, your follow-up needs work. Keep that up, and the it won't matter that Proletariat is out for now. Better go on the defense for now, though. While you are in no immediate danger, our foes are proving a bit craftier than usual." He turns to the next screen, but then he glances back at Heru. "You really like that horse, don't you?"

Timeline laughs for a split second then clears his throat. "Now, where was I?" He looks at the monitors. "Ah, right. Kane's impending death. Now Kane, I know how big of a fan you are of getting hurt, since you seem to do it often, but you're no use to anyone of us dead. We can't get into and out of the building without your key card. Keep better watch of your enemies... please? I'll help you out. There's one right in front of you." Sebastion types a few words into the keyboard next to him, then writes another couple of sentences on the notepad. "I'm sending you some more info regarding the... metal things to your right. And fear the bush to your immediate right, too. Brisk managed to make Militsya run into hiding. Good for her, bad for most others."

Sebastion takes another drink of cocoa then mutters something about the nurse probably being in the lounge getting sauced and complaining about how her real career choice involved Hollywood. "Which reminds me... Merc... Jezebel... I can't see a way for any of the enemies to get near you, Mindbender or the Dust King at the moment, but be on your guard nonetheless. There's a manhole cover about two feet to your left. Unless you're blind, you should see it. I suggest grabbing that for cover should they approach. And please don't leave the others out open in the gunfight, either."

"Gigawatt, I know you're missing the latest episode of Gilmore Girls right now, but you ask me nicely, I'll let you watch my TiVo'ed copied of it when you get back. If you wish to lend your assistance in this battle on the other hand, I have some advice for you. You've been diverting a lot of your power into your thrusters for some reason, giving you a slight enhancement in speed but nothing great overall. If you divert even a fraction of the excess to your blaster, you can pack a stronger punch. Of course, I'm no expert when it comes to robotics... I only built one machine in school, and all it managed to do was run repeatedly into a wall until it fell over and burst into flames. If you follow my advice and the same thing happens to you, I'll keep quiet from now on." Timeline watches Gigawatt with deep intent as the rest go off into battle...

Timeline will increase Heru's, Jezebel's and Kane's Defense by one.
