thanks view.i know this is of topic;however i'll ask it anyway. say that you MC two oppsiting fig. that both have protected feats on them. now if you make them attack each other can the person yoou are playing agaiinst then use his protected on both he get rid of the damage?

Yes. When both of the characters are controlled by you, they are temporarily friendly to your force. This means that if you control chracters A and B, until A and B take their free actions, they are on your team and you can't use A to attack B (just like you can't normally use one of your own characters to attack another one of your own characters). However as soon as one of them takes its free action, it is no longer friendly to your team. So if you use character A to attack another character on your opponent's team, A is now no longer friendly to your team and B may attack A. Since A is now back in your opponent's control, your opponent can choose to use Protected to negate the damage from B's attack. And now that B has attacked and back in your opponent's control, your opponent can use B's Protected feat whenever one of your character's attacks B.
