I think they are just classifiying him as part of the Flash family, and not nessesarily making him Flash. Who knows, he may be Flash, but if he is thats pretty weak.

I know right were my issue of Flash #92 (fist app of Impulse) is, so if he is the flash, I'll be happy that it will raise the value of his first appearance.

Nah, if he weren't 'the Flash', it would've listed him as:
Bart Allen ◊ Kid Flash: Impulsive Speedster

Wally, Barry, Jay, and now apparently Bart all use the name 'The Flash' as their superhero names. It's not the family, it's the name of the hero.

Why? Does he want a "golden age" Bluntman?

Well, we've known for years that at some point in his career Bart was going to become The Flash. It's been mentioned by several folks from the future.

My question is, will he have the traditional Barry/Wally red suit, or will he have the Zoom-esque yellow suit he wore as an adult in the Teen Titans?

Or the Ronin reveal in the DK Avengers book before the issues revealing it came out?

Well I'm actually more interested in the fact hat it gave away the last Secret Six member too... and it's not Bane, like I thought it would be.

Why would I like Bart?

Everyone thinks he's annoying, so what does he do? Reads every book in a library. Wtf. How does that help?

Well I went back and read the Legion/Teen Titans special, and the three part future story arc. Clues are dropped, by Barts mom and the future Vic about what happened during the crisis. Then they didnt make sense but now they do. Johns is pretty much a continuity freak, I'm sure the new Flash will be Bart.

No biggie, but the Ronin thing does still haunt me.

That makes absolutely no sense! First, Barry dies and kid flash takes over, now the former kid flash, Wally is gone and the new kid flash, Bart takes over!!??! WTF!! How could DC be so devious? There's abosolutely no way anyone could have predicted it would be Bart.

Joking aside, Is anyone actually surprised by this?....really?....

Thank you. People are acting like this is a shocker, when it's probably the most non-shocking thing about IC. I figured that Barry would take it over again,after escaping the Speed Force... that would have been a little more shocking.


If Hunter Zolomon became the new Flash... I think we'd all be picking our jaws off the floor and buying Flash #1. That's what they should have done.
