Yeah, not much of a jaw-dropper here either. More build-up for something they're going to try and retcon in a couple of years. Sure, there are some good stories they will be able to write with this "big reveal", but I just don't see this as sticking.

I'm actually liking the back story more than the big focus parts. Cap working underground to pull together heroes to fight against the Registration Act are the only parts that are flowing well right now.

I'll continue to read this, but hope it pulls more into the potential they have set up here with the ramifications of hero against hero.

I was unimpressed with Civil War 2. I dont believe how Peter unmasked. It didnt jive with how hes been portrayed in his own comic and what he did in Frontline. From all the speeches hes been making, he shouldnt have unmasked. Its like the editors arent keeping things fluid. And his little speech about being proud of himself and wanting to mak e being a hero respectable again? Please. When they can ensure the safety of those who register then thats when they should be required to. Spidr-man is safe. hes an avenger and has protection. Would everyone who registers have that same protection? No they just set them selves up as targets when there is a break in to where ever the secret IDs are kept. ANd how is registering going to help stop deaths and property damage? It wont.

I like Cap going underground, but with him and Fury underground then how can you not think that the registration will get repealled eventually. If you go by whats been put forward so far it doesnt seem like a bad thing. They are bringing in minors who are engaging in dangerous activities. If they are out there doing that they should register. Adults too. If they are goign to be costumed heroes then go for it. But they hav e to have the right security in place so as to not let the IDs be exposed. But that wont happen.

Mutants shouldnt have to register unless they decided to be costumed adventurers. Just being a mutant shouldnt require registration. Even manifesting powers shouldnt. Its the intent.


I like how the FF is going. Reeds totally geeky about whatever him and Iron man have cooked up. Sues resenting his lack of intrest. They will split. Finally. And how dare Mr Fantastic complain about unliscenese activity. The FF started it all in the first place. If hed have been to the Days of futures past hed have a totally different take on all this. Right now hes all giddy about things. Like he finally has something to do.

Iron Man "The only thing thats changing is that the kids, amatures and the sociopaths are getting weeded out." Hes been all three in his career. And some of the best heroes have started out as kids, Spidey, Alot of the X Men, Jolt, Amatures, everyone is at one point in their lives, and sociopaths, Wolverine (ewwww). All this fear is an emotional reaction to the stupidit y of the New Warriors. But alot of adults have done things just as bad. Powered and not.

I thought that Civil War #2 was a solid story, but the ending... not a huge shocker, after Iron Man did exactly the same thing in Front Line. It means big changes for Spider-Man, and I'll be interested to see how that works out, but a "shock"? No.

Doesn't Bendis make it a habit of exposing Spidey's face in Ultimate Spider-Man? What's the difference?

Civil War will be remember for years like Secret Wars. Not because the story line but as the first time what Spider-Man show his identity in public when he "was" wering "that" Red and yellow Iron-Man's costume.

No, I think Civil War will be rememberd as yet another time Marvel paints itself into a corner and has to restart things. Marvel always comes back to its roots after it tries something different. And then the Different stuff is pretty much ignored. I dont like that Civil War might change the type of Marvel U I dig, but I would rather have them do it and make it stick then it all revert back to normal after. It just wastes my time when they do that.

And Spidey wasnt in the New Yellow and red look. He was in his original costume. That was the point of him unmasking. He was proud of what he has been up till now.

And you have to read sme of th e Road to Civil war issues that came out preparing for it. Esp Amazing Spider-man. He had some really good writing going on. Lots of great ideas. Lots of interesting point sof veiw and alot of glimpese into who the heroes really are. Tony Stark comes off as a big dill-hole.

I didnt make the connection but Start must have a fetish with the colours red & yellow. His Armour and now Spideys new armour.

the fetish is simple: Blondes (gold) are Fire! (red), and the red (wine) is Gold for me! after get drunk the fetish go worst.
