Because there are two black people on the team ... ?
Were Steel and John Stewart never on the team at the same time?

JacinB is right.

Carlos, that is NOT John Stewart in "blue". That's Black Lightning, a.k.a. Jefferson Pierce
I suspect he knows that, and I suspect he intended it as a joke.

Why must DC insist on making the comic in synch with the JLA cartoon. A cartoon, I must say, that is no longer being produced.
Hawkgirl? Vixen?!? Come on, DC... get with it. Hawkgirl belongs with the JSA and Vixen belongs with a revamped Suicide Squad that resembles it's 1980's version.
I've been buying "52" and the only lasting impact to date is Booster Gold is dead. 13 weeks for THAT? Did somebody tatoo "Sucker" on my head when I was sleeping?
Harsh. I totally see where you are coming from with the line-up and Infinite Crisis (although I just read a freind's copy of IC cause I had a feeling that would suck after reading GL: Rebirth), but I have to disagree with 52.
Although it is kicking my wallet's butt, it is my favorite comic coming out recently, precisely because it is starring at most B list characters who could die or be drastically changed at any moment. But at the same time, I was never expecting it to dramatically change anything in the DCU because we already know where most of the major changes are thanks to the OYL line. I just enjoy it because its good reading.
However, you are right regarding the line-up. I don't see why they couldn't just drop Wonder Woman as there have been plenty of incarnations without all of the big 3 in the past.
as long as turner isn't doing the interior art, i'll pick it up.
i'm a sucker for the jla.
i've read it consistantly for a long time.... even thru the dismal byrne/claremont arc.
happy about the line up.
i was a big fan of the obsidian age "b team" that batman put together.... i like seeing odd guys in the jla.
i could take or leave hal tho... personaly i'd rather see kyle, jon or even g'nort.... anyone but hal.
