That's your choice, and by no means do you need to play him to counteract these teams -- the tips provided already give you plenty of options. But don't discount Supes. The rule change to HSS speed have balanced him out -- he's not "cheesy" anymore, regardless of what some people say. And if playing him will discourage the people at your venue, then maybe busting out the Boy Scout for a week or two might not be the worst idea.
The game is designed now so that players can police themselves. If someone is bringing the same cut-throat competitive team and everyone else is bringing theme teams, no amount of complaining is going to convince the ccompetitive player to change his ways. Everyone banding together, playing competitively, and kicking the #### out of him for a few weeks, however, will get his attention.
I'm really liking R Ultimate Spiderman w/ Pounce. It's only 46 points for a Spiderman who can go up to your Stealthed opponent, have a 10 AV and with a heavy object do a whopping 5 damage. FIVE damage from a 46 point fig. Bring in the soda machine or lamppost for more fun. He'll then be a distraction, and hopefully Super Senses will keep him alive to keep annoying whoever he can Pounce on later.
anti-Mystic strategy = V Nebula and V Green Arrow, both with Trick Shot. Lockjaws can taxi them, their 10 range is superb, and their 11 AVs are easily capable of hitting those 17 defenses. Double Incapping your opponent (twice) will slow him down immensley, while at the same time forcing pushes, for which there is no Mystic feedback.
As for Sue Storm, the only thing I can think of that hasn't been mentioned yet is Force Blast. IIRC you don't need to roll to hit, just give her knockback into a wall. U Jocasta has FB upfront, but I'm sure there are other options as well.
My H/W link does not reflect the wants for my collection, it is a list of figures that I already have, but still "want" to play.
If Nova Blast is not an option, go with regular old Pulse Wave. Jockey to get a single fig in range for full damage.
U Flash (KC Flash from Legacy) would do mean things to such a team. Nanobot him for best effect. Go pick off the WC sources with him.
Play Disbanded. Or Isolation (assuming that Alt-FF is a big part of the problem).
Play Bright Lights if the stealth is a problem.
Play Earthquake and all flyers. Kills Pogs Dead.
Play V Supes anyway. Get over your own biases. He's actually not that great against WC teams due to Mystics, though.
Play your own WC team. Buld smarter than your opponents. Not all WC teams are created equal.
Get your venue to overturn the silly Nova Blast rule.
Use a LAMP team.
I *like* WC teams, so I am acutely aware of how easily they can fall apart.
Since not all WC teams are the same, could you tell us what the specific problems you are having are? I've been assuming Stealth, Alt-FF and Mystics. What figs do people use to seed the WCs? What are their attackers?
Sabateur is really the way to go here. Krusticlese played it for 3 weeks straight I think and didn't see another WC team for 2 months or so.
If your sure you'll be seeing WC abuse for 3 rounds, disbanded can only help for one, unless it gets OD'd. The only way to counter sabatuer is to KO the character with sabateur on them

I cannot imagine a better legacy for my cousin.
V Iron Fist, 12 attack! He is a wildcard too, so you can turn the tables on them. Have him hunt down Sue Storm (Do not base her on a diagnal), he will easily hit her, and he is unaffected by stealth since he is melee.
Yeah... this didn't work out so well for me. My Iron Fist missed Sue Storm four attacks in a row. I did finally get to hit with the fifth attack, but she protected out of it.
High attacks don't really do it if the dice don't want to cooporate.
A few, more reliable, ideas:
Poison Armor Peircing- No rolling needed.
Shake-Off- 50% chance or better to damage a fig, plus it doesn't activat Mystics or Damage Shield.
Mind Control- this is often over-looked with Karma. Turn off the TA's when you successfully MC them. then your other figs have a better chance to hurt them.
Pulswave- The best thing I've found, but these figs are usually the first to go.
WizKids GamePlay, "You can only play our game if you buy the new stuff. Those old figures are dirty and obsolete."

Do they get control of their character back as soon as your MC ends?
Thats ridiculous! I know this is my opinion but, allowing house rules is a place where WizKids is falling short. "Hey I am smarter than WizKids and the game designers so let me 'house rule' everything I dont like about the game." Play by the rules and 'shut up' is the motto I will stand by! :speechles

I disagree. The House Rule is the best thing about HC.
It lets a venue play the game the majority of players want. The alternative, in my opinion, is rules lawyering.
Now I freely admit some House Rules are terrible and are not thought out. But some House Rules can make the local game much more enjoyable.
My venue has no real House Rules mostly for the reason that the 2 other venues do and I wanted to offer something different.(No Dupes at both and no T-Bolting any TA's other than Marvel at one of them).
On Topic:
Why not talk to the Judge and see about eliminating, changing, or adding to the existing House Rules...
Visible Dials and Pushing Damage need to be optional. This is the way.
