This is a situation where I just love the dial layout but the combat values are tragic... some more modern AV/DV and people would be singing his praises. As it is, what we've got here is a classic "attrition" piece: an opponent has to slog through a lot of damage reduction with a TA eating at them the whole time and a surprising "second wind" that's more effective than it looks on paper because the Plasticity lets him get out of a jam to take shots (or even attack Stealthers with TK'ed objects). Sam Rey doesn't push well, so you have to line up your shots and use others as a distraction. His end-dial Barrier is a fine way to delay, but you'll need backup muscle to protect and he's not likely to land a Support roll with those values.

As a former collector of the comic Sigil, the powers on the dial are pretty dead on, even in the order that he acquires them (picking up healing from Sephie in the Meridian series much later on). Shame about the numbers, but the depths of those old figs. I've used him a lot and he has won me more games than not. I really wish they had given him a keyword. Cosmic would have made sense; sigil-bearers for him and Bron would have done okay as well, I guess.
