Hey don't knock the 8 attack value! I've eaten people alive with an army of skrulls and all they had was an 8. But as for the flash its great even when he has only an 8. Why? WILLPOWER my friends! If at first you don't succeed, try try again!:d-indomitable: Also towards the end you get super senses, how can you not love telling superman that you won't eat his seven damage with the heavy?
I've used him both with and without feats and for the point cost its difficult to get better. I've teamed him up with the Justice league flash and the dying flash all with armor piercing......Just beautiful!:devious:

I've used this guy with Nanobots and Armor Piecing. He's a beast! And don't underestimate him. It took my buddies nearly 15 turns before they finally KO'd him!
I really love his quake. If his HSS is Outwitted, and he gets pinned down (Which has happened to me before) you still strike multiple opponents. Still a 4 out of 5, IMO.

I takes a dozen or so versions of The Flash to really make you appreciate the simplicity and solid design of this version, years later. A funny observation: KC Flash has nearly the same dial, but Wally has much better power placement. Quake is up front-- where's its more likely to be used early and more successfully with a better AV-- and mid-dial Willpower. If Flash can pick up a Nova Helmet, you basically have KC Flash, and saved yourself 45 points (and probably the same amount in coin).
There are brighter, shinier speedsters out there now for less - but the 19 defense and never-ending HSS make me smile. Flash's Quake is only for the very confident - you have to have brass ones to simply stand next to a crowd of foes, hoping your 19 will save you from a hit. Generally speaking, you want to abuse his 14 speed to hit people around corners and harass anybody (without reducers) who can't move to intercept you. Sadly, his crumbling attack/defense makes him a top-click wonder. Willpower may make him harder to catch, but with an 8 attack he isn't that threatening except to the wounded.
Note: the JLA keyword makes him eligible for the Justice League (Silver Age) ATA, which improves him dramatically for 4 points.

Ah...Good 'ol Icons Flash. By far and away, my favorite figure I ever pulled from a booster pack. I still have him to this day, though I haven't busted him out in ages. Perhaps one day...
