My only minor criticism was the issue featuring John Severin's art. Normally I LOVE this guy's art. He was amazing on one of the Desperadoes minis and the Rawhide Kid mini, but I thought his stuff in Iron Fist was a little awkward. Either he just wasn't on his best game here, or his style was a clunky fit next to the rest of the art, or probably, both.
All the same, I applaud the experiment and hope to see John Severin's art elsewhere in the future (hopefully somewhere it works better).
I think IF does a great job of brining in artists to draw the past IFs, but really Aja's work is just stunning. To me, he gets better with every issue and he knows when to darken it for the fighting and serious moments and, back in issue 2, can draw that fun relationship between Danny and Luke. This is one of the few series where I'm not looking to see what's going to happen in the next arc, but rather, in the next issue. Overall, is just a great read.
