Does that mean that if I do a successful Mind Control on a figure next to an opposing player's pog, I can use Protect the Innocent to remove it?
I would think so, but remember that using Protect The Innocent is a free action, and you only get one action (free or otherwise) with the MC target. So you could MC a figure who is next to a pog and as that figure's action remove the pog, but then your MC is done. I'm not sure how often you'd really want to do this, tying up an action for you (doing the MC) to just drop a pog. If the pog was blocking LOS to something then maybe, but chances are the fig you MC could KO the pog, thus getting you points. It *might* be useful if the pog is adjacent to a Suicide Squad member, or a figure with Defend, making your chances of KOing the pog outright less. But the chance of that exact situation coming up seems very small (and thus we'll get like 4 people posting that it happened in the PR or the Marquee, just wait ).
Disintegrate
Cost: 7 When the character is given a close combat action, before making the close combat attack, remove from the game an object adjacent to the character or an object carried by a character adjacent to the character.
This is a great card for disarming an opponent of their weapon. Per the wording of the card, the attack doesn’t even need to succeed. An excellent use of only 7 points, and playable on basically anyone.
Finally there’s a cure to persistent hypersonic dumpster syndrome!
Persistent Hypersonic Dumpster Syndrome or PHDS used to be a huge problem at my venue, but not any more thanks to Distintegrate! Disintegrate was fast and easy and tastes great. Disintegrate has cured my PHDS and it can cure yours too!
(Some forms of PHDS may not be effected by Disintegrate. Disinitegrate has a risk of side effects including nausea, headache, E.D., junk shottage, Mark Tuttle syndrome, and pervasive chase figure disfigurement but the risk for all of these side effects is generally low. Talk with your Judge about Disintegrate today. If you talk to your doctor, he will look at you funny.)
I used Mr. Tawky Tawny at the prerelease and the 2-D kitty more than pulled his weight. In each game he was an effective tie-up piece and in two of them he smacked an opponent for two damage.
One thing I'd like to point out: When using this card, your damage value is completely replaced by the number of strike tokens, should you choose that option. In other words, the figures that benefit most from this BFC are low-level figs - even Destiny can deal 6 damage to Superman with a Critical Strike, should the circumstances allow it.
Critical Strike works best with Armor Wars or Ground Zero for a possible 7 damage, and Extraordinary Day to increase the odds of a critical hit.
I rolled a crit hit with R Booster Gold (on second to last click) against E Cyborg Superman, dealing 6 damage for the KO. Nice to see that even Booster has his day...
Mistrust When characters that have the same team symbol or team ability are adjacent to each other, modify their defense values by –1, to a maximum of –1.
If you’re not playing a team without a lot of TA cohesiveness, you can definitely play this card to your advantage. For starters, the JSA TA alone will activate the card because it requires teammates to be adjacent to share their defense!
Beyond that, you can base a target with your own fig (with the same TA) in order to bring their defense down. Just keep in mind that it works both ways, so they’ll get a shot back at you.
In other words, if you're playing, oh, let's say a vetran Mister Miracle and let's say your opponent has, I don't know, how about an experienced Hawkman, don't stick around if he charges Miracle with Hawkman...
That was what part of what cost me my first game of the pre-release.

Great article AZS, Thanks for clearing up some things. I have one question does communication breakdown also nullify Energy Shield Deflection and Combat Reflexes + 2 to defense? Those are modifiers if I'm correct.
If so I hope I pull this BFC because there's alot of both in this set, as long as it doesn't hinder me that is.
Don't forget with Critical Strike, a team with 2 figures is going to have 1/6 the chance of benefiting from this card as a team with 12 figures. I only choose to use this card if I greatly outnumber my opponent.

Coordination
Prerequisite: Any TA
Cost: 6 Lines of fire to and from the character are not blocked by characters with the same team symbol
So could a Rookie Question (Batman TA) with Coordination target an opponent's figure hiding behind an opponent's Rookie Question that is parked in/behind Hindering Terrain?

It is still blocked by blocking terrain, which is what you must consider hindering as when someone with stealth or a like-stealth ability is in that position.

nbperp answers this in his errata thread:
"Although characters with the same team symbol are ignored, the target character is not ignored. Therefore, if a Coordinated Batman Ally targeted another Batman Ally through other Batman Allies, the LOF would be fine. But if the target Batman Ally was in hindering terrain, then the LOF would still be blocked."
What this means is that you can see through the first Batman Ally, but the target cannot be seen. (Which essentially makes the effort moot, except in the case of Wildcards.) So lets rephrase:
You have one LoSH wildcard with Coordination. You are targeting LoSH character A, through LoSH Character B, who is in hindering terrain. LoSH-B copies Batman TA.
(LoSH-you) --------line of fire------> LoSH-B (in hindering) | LoSH-A
You can still see through LoSH-B thanks to Coordination.
LoSH-A copies Mystics, so you may target him.
If LoSH-A copies Batman, you may not target him, because Coordination only allows you to see through a figure, it does not grant Superman/Ultimates-like ability to see the final target, and Line of Fire crosses Hindering terrain.
However, since the card says 'Team Symbol', other Wildcards (Calculator), or an actual Batman ally wouldn't count.
