And are there any Super Speedy HtH fighters? I reckon one of them could take Bats anyday. What about Wonder Woman? She could take Bats hand to hand with relative ease IMO.

Actually, both comic companies write that the superpowered fighters (like Hercules or Superman) rely on their power and are not that solid of technical fighters.
I've never seen a Speedster being written as an excellent HtH guy/gal either.
I finally concede, now that Steve Rogers is dead, that Batman is the best hand-to-hand fighter in any comic universes (only until Steve's return, of course)
The feud of "who's a better fighter, Cap or Bats?" is finally over. Batman finally wins by default.
Well, I don't think that anyone would say that either Batman or Captain America were the best hand-to-hand fighters in their respective universes.
List of characters who were better than either in their respective universes:
Marvel: Iron Fist, Shang-Chi, Karnak, Gamora
DC: Batgirl, Karate Kid, Deathstroke, Richard Dragon
But, I always thought that Cap won in any fight. Doesn't matter if both are given prep or not. Now, if you take away Cap's shield, I think Batman takes it.

Your DC list is in error. Deathstroke isn't considered on that level, although Lady Shiva is.
I don't think so, Black Panther recently pwned him. I think it was in issue #2 of the Silent war or was it in the BP series?
It was in the normal Black Panther issue. But first, Hudlin doesn't know how to write. He wanted Doom to be racist, so he made Doom racist. He also had Black Panther beating up Doom (because Doom is racist now...) while in his armor. That would NEVER happen. He had Black Panther beating up Karnak. That wouldn't happen in a million years. He had the Inhumans wanting to kill the humans and treating them like "pesky weakling humans". Inhumans have never acted like that before. My point is that any writing by Hudlin holds little to no merit, IMO.

Sorry, biz, but thats incorrect. He can see the weakness in his opponents attacks, and defend against them perfectly. Karnak > Iron Fist.

Deathstroke isn't considered in the top 5, no. But he is considered a better hand-to-hand than Batman. Thus why most of their fights has Deathstroke winning (I will reference the time that they had a hand-to-hand fight ending with Deathstroke round-house kicking Batman into some furniture, for the KO).
However, I did fail to mention Lady Shiva. She is definately up there.
Black Panther is good, he isn't THAT good. He's like on the level of Nightwing, if comparing to DC. Nightwing couldn't take down Doc Doom. (There, I gave props to a Marvel character over a DC character. Back to being my so-called "bias" lol.)
If we are talking Bats Vs. Cap, Ults Cap used steriods via the Super Soldier Program. Bats is all-natural
If talking Bats V the rest of the universe, I offer the following quote from Bats referring to Superman and Martian Manhunter (talking to J'onn):
"It took a seventy-thousand-dollar sliver of meteorite to stop the one in Metropolis. With you, all I need is a penny for a book of matches."
Supes and the Martian are arguably among the toughest that spandex has to offer, but Bats doesn't bat an eyelash when going up against them. And they are his allies.
Actually, though, the hand-to-hand title is probably not applicable to Bats anyhow. He never fights conventionally, and that's why he wins. put him in the boxing ring with Wildcat, by the book, he probably loses, but he never plays by any rules but his own.
Can he take Richard Dragon, Karnak, Cap, Panther and Iron Fist? Yep, but they won't see it coming, and it won't be a fair fight on their terms.

Reason: Spelling
The shortest distance between two points is the gap between the minimum requirement and not-good-enough.

Your first post:Completely agree with, you beat me to quoting the guy and correcting him!
Second Post:I still want to see that fight, even if Iron Fist does lose!
Batman wins every single time. The main reason though is because he has the writer on his side. When Batman loses it's always a part of his plan. It's one of the things that annoys me about Batman, his fights are always laced with BS. It looks like someone has the upper hand, but that's because they didn't know that Batman is actually a master of the ice cream scoop and he uses it knock them unconscious. I really enjoy Batman stories when he isn't some unbeatable combat master, but I tend to have trouble finding many of those stories.
If you had a neutral writer on board, I'd say Cap would take it. He's got superior abilities by far and even with his superior training, I think Cap would just out pace him in a hand-to-hand fight. Ditto for Iron Fist, Karnak, and some of the other characters mentioned above.
